Can't Touch this
Blown power valve
can anyone tell me how to check if the power valve in a stromberg (or even any carby mite help) is blown?
when i blow compressed air out of either the side or bottom hole in the valve there are no air leak, which to me seems it would be perfectly fine???
cheers

you should be able to suck the valve open. sucking or rather creating a vacuum is a better way to check flow valves for leakage rather than using compressed air as it generally creates a similar environment to that of which it was intended for. putting compressed air into it you are trying to make it work opposite to what it is supposed to so you are on the back foot before you even start
