YT turbo head, holley carb, convertor s4 turbo etc (melb)

hey all, looking to sell some gear to fund the hemi transplant in the torana.

rx7 s4 turbo (prefer local to verify condition) $150

yella terra holden 12 port cast iron turbo head, provides around 8:1 compression with excellent quench (unlike open chambered 9 port version) porting afaik is the same as highest spec cast iron 12 port non turbo head. never used. $900

holley 650 d/p $250, or will prep for blowthrough for $370, or $500 with holley blue fuel pump (as new) and malpassi rising rate fpr (probably a little small for the app)

dominator (3000rpm stall) torque convertor suit V8 trimatic and powerglide $350 has been run approx 4 months

Can send interstate if buyer pays COD via Aust Post except the head as it is above aust post weight limit (the head is for sure) .

Will send head interstate via toll/ipec, but would require money up front, and would only do so if it's insured, no way I'm risking it's damage or disappearance.

Im interested. Got any pics? Does the carb come with a bonnet for blow-thru application?
    Thanks in advance

I'll try and arrange photos mid week.

    No carb bonnet.

By prep for blowthrough I meant :

    supply/fit:
new needle and seats (if required)
    reusable gaskets throughout,
    power valve blockoff plug,
    nitrophyll floats
throttle shaft seals (new std ones, I've never found it necessary to drill and pneumatically seal them)

reduce primary high speed airbleed area by 50%

There's nothing 'wrong' with it, it's just been used - i.e. it's not still in the box.

To that end, and I do this with any holley, the throttle shaft seal is ok, but not perfect, so ultimately it'd need new wraps. They are a plastic (ptfe?) wrap that goes around the throttle shaft where it goes into the throttle plate base section. They cost all of around $10 for the lot (and take about 10 minutes to fit.

It would need new gaskets (as it's been apart to check condition, and had, as 99% of them do) for the metering blocks and fuel bowls (not dear either) . If you plan on doing much with any holley, no matter what, reusable gaskets shit on paper ones, they come apart perfectly, no more gasket scraping, and they actually seal better. So in that sense, I'd even fit them to a new out of the box one. that's the context I'm mentioning the need for gaskets in. The needle and seats are ok. It currently has 31 acc pump discharge nozzles front and rear, though I'd have no qualms sending it with 28s (which they typically have 'out of the box' ) .

It has brass floats front and rear. They are in as new condition. They are the main reason I was after a little more if I prepped the carb for blowthrough (as the nitrophyll floats bump up the costs). they'd generally be fine for other apps, but I'd personally go nitrophyll ones, as the brass ones will collapse with a big enough inlet manifold backfire.

Since I first posted the thread, it's been stripped and cleaned, and sorted to use temporarily on a friends motor, so it currently actually has the re-usable gaskets on there. it also has a new 55 powervalve. Even a brand new one would need to be sorted to get the most out of any specific application, so the gaskets aren't a real issue either way (you'd need a new set either way)

The acc pump diaphragms aren't new, but they are in good working order. I would have put new ones in if sold prepped for blowthrough, as although it wouldn't make a difference (really) it's stuff all extra cost, so it still worked out ok.

If the condition is a concern, I'd be willing to source and fit the throttle shaft wraps, and send it with reusable gaskets, and nitrophyll floats (but no powervalve plug, or high speed air bleed mods, which are the other things involved in blowthrough prep) or any combination of the above (i.e. maybe new gaskets and wraps, but keep the brass floats, or whatever) for the cost of the parts involved on top. I'm not sure of prices in your area, but lets say (and if it ends up costing me a couple of bucks extra than what I've allowed for, I'll cop the loss) $320 all up. The difference between that and the blowthrough prep is basically a powervalve plug, and mods to the air bleeds. They don't cost much, but the actual work on the air bleeds give me the shits

I've had trouble getting digital pix, I'm still working on it, but it's a matter of finding time when both the friend with the camera and I aren't working
