Over the last moth since getting my 1600 rally car I have been doing a bit of playing around with setup and things and have decided I donít like the brake pedal feel very much.
I donít think there is any thing wrong with them but the pedal feels very spongy and has long travel. The old owner sad that it was just the way they were due to the small booster.
It is using:
3/4í master cylinder
240 K front disks with twin cylinder calipers that I am told are off a skyline
Braded front hoses
Drums on the rear that may not be stock 1600
Apart from the pedal feel the brakes work well. They pull the car up easily donít fade and are well balanced with the rear locking just before the front. I donít think the problem is due to air in the brakes as they have always been like this.
Are there any relatively simple changes or adjustments I could try to improve the pedal feel?
