Ive been looking at a 650? 600? Hyosung and from what ive read, the 250's and 650s or whatever the larger capacity is, are pretty good bikes all around, with only a few niggles like rear shock settings and levers needing adjustment for us taller aussies.

Yeh i had to raise the gear shift lever and lower the rear brake the handling is pretty good on the 250 and it feels like ur sitting on a 600 ride hide is the same as the 650 also power is alot more than something like the vtr i think its about 5kw which is alot 4 a 250 ive only had the bike for a few weeks and im not an extremely experienced rider lol but i am really impressed so far for a bike released in 2002 as their first 250 sport bike. Im getting a Howler pipe fitted tomorrow have u seen or heard anything about these.

I wouldn't bother modding a 250, but thats just me - better off saving your cash for the next bike, or some protective gear etc. IMHO.

They must have been out of punctuation marks when you bought your bike

Seriously though, welcome to biking, consider your life transformed.

Yeah I was blue in the face after reading that sentence it was a lot to read without taking a breath at all I mean imagine that reading for so long and not knowing where to stop... oh shit I'm going blue again!

Yeah enjoy biking and save your $$$ for your next bike. Why mod a 250 when you can get a 600/750/1000 on your opens!

The last comma was used up in the price, $5,999 (or whatever they cost).

But i've heard good things about the hyosungs for learners. I'd recommend the 650L for LAM states (NSW, ACT) over the 250, but the 250 is still a great choice to learn on.

Onlything I worry about is if Hyosong last, or if they will be like many of the new Chinese companies emerging. Story is, many of the new Chinese companies are swamping in a new economy, meaning they'll have 30 motorbike manufacturers, then get monopolised by 3 or four of them, leaving suckers letf holding onto bikes that they can't get spare parts for, or sell after their "over" them.

    Cool

My instructor has a 650 and did a lot of research before getting one, in the 10 months hes had it hes put on 26000 kms and hasnt had any problems yet. The only mod hes made is put on a cruise control lever and adjusted suspension for the bike/trailer he tows.As 4 the pipe it really is a sound thing the stock one is really really quiet and im prolly gonna have the bike for 1.5 yrs or so, so i figure i may aswell like the sound of it and for $450(discouted-retail $560) it was well worth it.Yeh im in wa so we are restricted to 250's 4 a year, but i think thants a good thing i think all that power in my first yr would go to my head. I mean the comet is comfortable to ride and is plenty quik enough to stick to the speed limit...which is good to to anyway but i guess even more so when your inexperienced. Ive got all the safety gear but i need to invest in wet weather stuff aswell i think. The next bike i want is either a R6 or a MV Agusta f4... dREAM BIKE A ducati 916 with yoshi tri oval pipe, and very low kms...wat are your thoughts?

Hyosungs also been making bikes for 30 yrs badged as suzukis its only recently they broke away on there own.. i guess im just impressed with the bike considering its only released in 2002. From what ive read they look like there here to stay... with a growing product line 6 new bikes in 4 years i hope they do stick cos there producing a competive range at competive prices especiallly compared to paying 7000 for a 15 year old cbr250rr or zx2r as nice as they are id rather pay 5990 including onroad costs, for a bike that suits a bigger rider.sorry if i sound like im trying to sell one lol not my intention.

As far as your dream bike is concerned, I'd probably lean toward the MV Agusta as opposed to the Duke or the R6. I hope you realise that the Duke and the MV are a completely different bike to the R6. Not that the R6 is bad, you'll just be shelling out a lot more for a Duke or an MV and AFAIK the service costs on the Duke can make it prohibitive for those on a lower income.

I was more interested in the new-age protective gear those guys were wearing! I always feel a bit restricted when wearing full leathers on the bike. I'd like to know where that first guy got his protective shorts and sneakers from. Not to mention the invisible helmets. They're awesome! Must be custom and cost hundreds. Oh well, a man can dream....

    What a fucking gay vid!!!

+1 for awesome on the safety gear - let's fang a bike up and back on a res street with no shirt on and hope no-one pulls out of their driveway/kids come running out etc. Nice slag tag on that TL riding faggot as well!
