thanks and yes I have seen picks of the gold VU on ls1. Awesome build.

I will pull the motor out at some stage and weld the strut towers and spray the thing properly, but just want to drive it for now.

Also looking at emissions compliance running E85. so far the only testing facility I can find in vic is Ford's lab at Lara and they want $1500 for the test but wont issue a certificate of any sort.

Will speak to an engineer and start the ball rolling.

Nice looking wagon mate. Well done.

How much did it cost you to move the coil packs and hide the wiring etc?

PM me if you don't want to say on the forum.

Thanks, the basic rewire was 2K plus the ABS relocation and a few other bits I wanted.

Sideshow wiring seem to know their stuff in nsw, they might be worth a call.

A few more pics of the engine bay:

firewall plug was suggested by the auto Electrician for both the engine and gearbox looms its as simple as twist and pull to seperate the engine loom from the bay to under the dash, no more pulling wires from under the dash, or cutting wires

coil packs in glovebox and under steering column

ABS relocation to under the guard in front of the RHS wheel needed a fair bit of work cleaning everything up to look like this:

Now looking at rocker covers and spark plug lead shields, something simple and not chrome would be nice.

    Looks excellent
Maybe go for the satin black covers with 'Chevrolet' written on them? Though i'm not a fan of putting chev stuff on holdens, they do look pretty good

OK, everything that comes off this thing is for sale. Not sure where I'm going with this yet, but will see what is left and go from there.

Turbo kit, motor, wheels, brakes, suspension, interior etc etc

I will put a parts for sale post together but if there is anything specific someone is interested in, send me a pm

I'm in two minds at the moment, might strip it back to a stocker and buy another toy or leave it in the garage until I get more funds to build a NA stroker

Yeah heard good and bad about Steve as well.

Stef has promised to look at it but he will be on a short leash timewise this time, last time he had it for almost 6 months and rushed to finish it when I started putting the pressure on.

To be honest I'm over it at the moment. Thinking of taking it to APS to sort it out.

Not quite sure id call that drifting but each to their own i guess...

Was also going to ask why you built the motor for under 300kw but i guess you always planned the turbo kit?

Definitely not drifting, was a pisstake at the time.

Motor was built in 2004, turbo went on 6 years later, shit happens, people change their mind.

So no break apart and sell? Was having a bit of a hard time following the plan. If not, awesome, turbo + ls1 + wags + manwell is awesome.

It's an awesome bit of kit and I can understand the sentimental attachments, especially this rig.

fwiw, it's a bit of a one of a kind and with the amount of work that's gone into the late model engine bay that tidy, hold on to it and keep the project rolling. I love the big n/a blocks but once you've had turbols... Well the other ones are still cool but turbo ls definitely best of both worlds.

good luck with clutch and gremlins. Fucking shocked I haven't had more of those.
