    My New Ride (VC Valiant)

My search has finally come to an end!
I'd been looking for a 60's model car (didn't really matter what brand) for a while now, and finally came across this beauty on the side of the road.
So I got in quick and put a deposit on it straight away (apparently he'd been offered a lot more than i paid for it too).

It's dead straight, the only rust I can find was a little surface rust on the rear arch.

The car had been stored in a shed for the past 8 years, the bloke had to sell it cause he had too many cars, seems like he took good care of it too.
I'll let the pics do the talking, but overall its a beauty of a car and I couldn't be happier!!! (especially for the amount I paid)

    Specs:
    225 Slant 6
    extractors & full stainless exhaust
    tinted windows
    disc brakes (& booster)
reco'd gearbox (3 on the tree)
    reco'd engine
few other new bits and pieces for the engine bay (starter motor/battery etc)
everything else is pretty much all original!

    Future plans include:
    whitewall tyres
    lowered
repaint the engine bay/engine parts etc
re-trim interior a bit (the interior is probably the worst part of the car)
scallop paint job and maybe some pin-striping
few custom touches to make it mine!

Only things I've done so far was give it a quick clean, remove the mud flaps and add some dice door locks.

    Here are the pics...

Cool cruiser. Good to see it'll be back on the road instead of sitting in a shed.

Very Nice! I've toyed with the idea of a nice Val for a long time.

Yeah, drop it on its guts and go cruising.

This injection set-up will be for sale very soon. I'll start a new thread on the car so as not to hijack big_pete's any further.

Awesome Val. I have a VC myself and very similar colour too that. I really need to start working on it to bring it back to it's former glory, been too long.

Yours is also very similar to mine in that it has CBC hubcaps. Add a nice set of whitewalls and lower it and it will be sweet.

There's a few of them around, although I don't know of any local cars actually running them. That should change real soon
