^^^^You're just jealous of my 'swedish' wheels, i told you they wont fit your car

    Progress....

i drilled the battery cut off switch into the rear of my car, and created and welded a bracket in.

Also drilled a hole for a boot lock into the rear, it has already been deleted on the bootlid,
but ANDRA rules says i have to put one in. So i put it in the ke25 position instead.

Pulled the engine out to start on the engine bay, this one will not be going back in as i plan to have the new one built in time.

Removed the manual pedal box, column, and any other junk in my way.

The sr20 auto bellhousing requires a heap more clearance than the manual one, so i had to dummy it up to see what neeeds to move out of the way, i grabbed an old block and mounted it up.
There will be changes made to the front of the tunnel.

    ,
I am using a c4 auto , so only the nissan bellhousing has clearance issues.

Started welding up some of the holes i don't need,

Then started to really get into it, i am thinking about straightening the sheetmetal over the wheels on either side to make it really smooth.
still not sure if i will bother as there is a lot of work in it. :hmm:

The missus sprung me, this is how i spend my spare time........so sad

    some progress!

Engine bay has had lots of attention, lots smoother, many many man hours.

a bit of surface rust starting..

New tunnel clearance for the auto bellhousing, bolted the crossmember back up, put dummy block in,
    real happy!

Started to build the new engine, waiting for a few parts atm,

apparently i need new head studs.

Also picked a new colour for my interior, decided white is tacky, so this is it.

I picked it off a vinal sample and got it colour matched for the roll cage and other little bits

    so shiny!!

Also spent a bit of time removing some of the casting edges to improve flow

Todays effort, finally got some etch on the engine bay again, looking pretty straight now, still got a bit of work to do before undercoat.

    small update.

Doing a bit more to the head atm, it has a port job which i would like to make more wild, wallet may not sustain the damage atm.

It is already solid pivot, adjustable cam gears, approx 10mm lift cams.

I am adding 1mm oversized valves, and 12.5 solid cams, will give it a touch up at home to suit the valves if i cant afford the full job.
Been a bit sidetracked lately, getting a new daily ready.

The rola got booted from the shed.

Unfortunately. And lets not forget the ke25

Nah, its not quite as bad as it seems, me and my brother both use the same user because of email address issues. So i own the sr20 ke30, the ms57 crown, the pajero and the ke25, while my brother has the 2jz 929 and xt forester. Might make a bit more sense...

Just had a look at the crown thread, you really know what your doing and have a shitload of motivation.

Do you build motors for a living?

Also did you just spray the crown in the garage?

    Thanks man
nah, im a sparky, i just build my engines, which is pretty often, im a pretty harsh driver.
it was sprayed in the garage, was damn tight in there, very difficult to spray in a space that small. The paint wasnt real flat, halfway through buffing it.
