I hate having to paint things once as well, its such a crap job.

Finally pulled my finger out and got the cage mod plated today. 4 seats still too.

was wanting to get my seats done at the same time, but cant find the time to do the seats.

    So we have:

    LA1

    LB1

    LD2

    LM1

    LA3

    LG2

    LH8

on four different plates.....will be 5 with the seats, may as well paint the car blue.

    did some paint today.

rear of car re-done, needed some more smoothness than previous

    rocker cover

Repainted the section above the engine where i had to strip it back so the chassis numbers are readable.

A few other bits got some silver or green.

And most importantly the front and rear crossmembers are painted,

I can now finally put the car back on the ground, and move it to the shed.

They are gtir quads, they need the lower bolt holes re-drilled, and some port matching to fit nicely.

    engine finally all bolted in.

Turbo, dump pipe, exhaust, wastegate all together for the last time.

I moved the car back in the shed now it is finally on its wheels again. A bit of a mission with just me and the missus, its an uphill into the shed.

Some cleaning up to do tomorrow if im going to be able to work in there at all.

lol, I'd dream of having my garage that neat. All my spare bits are piled ontop of each other and still take up all the room.

A good reminder that procomp fuel pumps are not the go...

Yep, that engine crane is great while you use it, but it takes up some garage space, probably why youre not asking for it back in a hurry.

Been busy wiring since i got back from the cape. I seem to get an hour or so done on it most afternoons after work.

Im going way overboard on neatness, i'm an electrician by trade so this is the bit i have not been looking forward to, so it will be good to get it out of the road.

Getting very close to finished, still need to do the boot pumps ect, and some of the engine bay senders ect.

Also i went and got my other corolla from my parents place where its been stored, will start to plan, and maybe work on it a bit.

I am really keen on dropping a 3s beams in it, but there are 3 sr20's sitting here, and i dont have cash for beams, so i guess its likely gonna get an sr.

I have alreadt got an r31 diff cut down for it, a wolf v4 ecu, and a plenty of redundant bits from the ke30.

Bought a few more bits for the ke30 the other day too.

    auto oil temp gauge

    engine oil temp gauge

Electric heaters for demister for rego

    oil drain for turbo

    rocker stoppers

led dash lighting, and interior light.

Still plenty of stuff to do, but it feels alot closer with the wires near done.

ok a bit of an update.

I bought a couple of oil temp gauges, for engine temp and gearbox temp. so the dash is ready to go in,
just need to install the two electric heater/ fans under the dash, and still waiting on my speedo cable.

where the fans are going to be sitting under

Brake master had a leak, so pulled it out again and bought a rebuild kit for it.

I have started to buy some of the fuel fittings for under the rear of the car, and in the engine bay.
still getting my head around ordering the correct parts over the net but i have only got one wrong so far.

flared some of the hard lines with the earls fittings for gearbox cooler and fuel lines. more bits still in the mail.

solid lifters arrived too, there is nothing under the cam covers yet, but these were the bit i was waiting for. Will do the shims soon.

Lots more dummy ups on the intake side too, lots of stuff hiding under the quads and plenum now. Vacuum tank, idle air control, fuel reg and lines, throttle cable, water lines and all the wires. not much room left. Just need some ally welds and i can bolt all this up for good.

This is my new account on the pf, nine2nine is my brothers account, about time i got my own.

So got some stuff done, i ran out of reasons not to bolt the front together.

The front bumper will cover the intercooler better so it should be pretty stealth.

I still need to buff the front gaurd before i put the bumper on. I probably should get it rechromed first anyway, as the rear one has been done.

Pulled out the nos stuff for the grill and shined it up, decided not to fit it yet though might wait till all the paint is buffed.

So i bought a tig off ebay, cheap nasty chinaman one. so ally welding will no longer be a hold up.

    Plus bought:

    tailshaft loop.

more fittings and ally spanners to suit.

    stainless intercooler clamps.

    some braided line..-10 and -8

    5 litre surge tank

fire shield for cable and lines

new speedo cable off some f truck with c4 auto

    some perspex for the dash

and some unf taps that are required.

I have decided to modify fuel tank with a drop down section for the lift pump, so tank is back out atm.
