heres some old pis of the rear end nothing special.

Were fitting a panhard rod and going to find a better leaf spring. The ones on it now were twisting that much it broke the traction bars. (and they didnt bind)

As for the front end im fabricating new bottom arms to which are longer to get more camber.

If you move the lower pickup point up a bit (an inch from memory) in the front you will stop the bump steer...also XF arms fit & are longer.

BTW, What is in the background on the stand? Space frame thing with just a door & roof?

Yeh we can do that, but fabricating them will get better results geometry wise. The bump steer is nearly perfect

Thats a monaro sports sedan in the backround.
But id rather the mustang on the right.

    Cheers for the pics,

I was still under the impression that you could fit a Watts link to the early models as Moffat and crew had them in those days.

I have a diff from EF XR6 wagon 28sp 4pin and just in the process of adding the sedan cover to use the Watts link set up.

When Gammaboy and xbgs351 get on here they will bang on about the front suspension mounting points for ages

Meh - thats what the search function is for :P

AU diff cover has a lower mounting point for the Watts by the way.
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."

One of my mates is putting a watts link and 3 link rear end into his 65 mustang. After seeing the amount of original steel hes cut out of it I would never do that to mine.

Hey i dont want it to go to fast, its a fun car. That's what the Hyundai's for.

I just want a bit more diveability out of it. Honesty it has to much horsepower for the mustang chassis. The body flex is ridicules.

Ill find some pics of the body after 2 races showing paint cracks.

Maier Racing make a really nice bolt on panhard kit for early stangs. I was almost going to copy one for the XY.

Yea it looks like I will have to trim the fuel tank rail area but doesn't really matter as the tank is gone and has been replaced by an LPG tank.

That TEX diff housing is pretty special!! Are those the axles lying next to it in the first shot?
