Have a detomaso pantera and the speedo reads about 30-40 KPH above what its doing, if a tooth came off the cable or somewhere else i thought it would read lower??
Goto get it fixed its driving me nuts.

a tooth wouldn't do that, but if someone changed the final drive in the transaxle (if it is possible), then it would do it. Either that or your tyres are way different from factory sizing.

Its a cable driven speedo, its a 1971 model, they didnt have electrics back then

+1 for final drive/diff ratio
If its not the final drive ratio then the speedo drive pinion may have the incorrect number of teeth, assuming thats a viable with your trans. Next to look at is the speedo itself.
