Dont really need much support for an autronic, not that hard to use.

Support is a real problem with some brands now,Thats the reason I sell whatever a customer wants now.
Ive been quite lucky with support from Autronic but hear many people have not been.

I needed some left-field support for my autronic after I did the 1.09 firmware upgrade... Ian was helpful and responsive with modifying my CAL to work with my trigger setup in V1.09 after the old trigger config was removed from the 1.09 firmware (previously present in 1.06).

That said, Ray has been just as good with my strange questions I've had with the vipec. My Autronic would probably still be locked if it wasn't for Ray too..

Yeah thats a fair point, but when your spending a couple large you at least would like to be able to pick a phone and expect someone to be willing to help you.

Im in the middle of thinking ecu's for this dak dak pos sitting here. New link/vipec seem to be not too bad.

Link/Vipec is a good pick for Subaru's. Seen good results with them.

They go well with toyota reluctor setups too. The Variable Cam control works perfectly aswell.

Link/Vipec and Haltech seem the best with reluctors.

My customer with the V88 equipped EZ30R had his car retuned by insight and it was much better than the previous tune. He was happy with the way the engine ran and made power but needed it to pass emissions which they failed after several attempts. Adam at JEM sorted that out for him. Not a bad report, but there are better guys.

you can buy the connector from RS Online, Element14 etc, it's an Amphenol LTW connector, part number AU-06BFFA-LL7001. Then chop up a standard USB cable and wire it through following the pinout info in the help file. Or just buy a complete cable from a Link dealer

stupid question time. found the comms port pinout. where do i hook the D+ and D- to on the connector? are they for the can hi/lo respectively? or the rs232 tx/rx?

They are 5 V USB Data + Data - if it just connects to a USB port on a PC.

Someone once asked me if they could use my mower. I said "sure, so long as it doesn't leave my yard"

they weren't options on the comms connector pinout. there's 2 connectors, and maybe the pinout is for the can/dash connector. hence the confusion.
