You can in Qld because it's more that 30 years old. The car will be whatever year VW floorpan you use. Vintage mainly seem to use mid 60's. Not sure about other states though.

What does factory mean though? I'm talking about bringing a turn key car from Vintage Speedsters, not a kit. The VW came from the factory LHD.

I don't know why but those plates just look strange on the car. Maybe it's the plate cover.

[QUOTE=Cal;840550117]Nah old car, full size B&W's. I have a slimline sticker for the front if I ever decide it needs it.

Them and Beck from what I can tell. Some of them look wrong at first glance. I just bought some parts in for it from Vintage Speedsters and it was a head fuck. Good luck bringing a whole kit! I've been thinking about going over there and bringing a LHD one in (2nd hand with low kms like this one). Just to see if there is interest in them here. I love it in silver, but I'd be looking for a black one like this.

That car hit carsales last week. It's owned by a local Porsche racer, but I think his daughter drives it most of the time. It is a Jap built replica. Doesn't look quite right in the photos, but I've not seen it in flesh. That is unless there is a genuine silver one lurking about.

LOL it was for the purpose of the photo. I'd be surprised if the groom knew which end of the car the motor was at.

He's actually a fuckin good bloke and a good mate of mine. We co-drive in one hour races together sometimes. Dude can steer good, but has the mechanical aptitude of a goat.

Cal: are you making a buck or two out the whole wedding car malarky? I've been asked to do a few weddings now in the benz and am having thoughts about adding a wedding car hire sector to the business for tax purposes.

We might be able to join forces here and use our powers for awesome instead of good

I'm sure he is, he's just got one of those faces you want to punch

My best mate is the same - I actually punched on with him before I met him!

Is that Nick The Greek? Does he still wear his lucky Superman t-shirt when he races?

    It is indeed and yes.

Not been capitalising Phil. Only really interested for friends. Freaks me out people leaning all over it ect. It got a few scratches at the one wedding.
