Immediate start - Oil Industry positon(s)

    Guys,

Looking for people to start in our Data Acquisition department asap.

Basically we're after Electronically/Mechanically minded people - but really the job isn't hard, so the most important thing is a good attitude.

You'll be running Electronic tools into a Oil/Gas hole, the data is sent back to the Client is real-time. The job is very easy, not labouring - you just have to be aware of presentation of data etc. All training provided.

Job roster is around 3 weeks on, 2 weeks off.

Starting pay is pretty low, but within a year you can easily be on a $85k+ PA. Whilst away all accommodation, expenses (food etc) are paid for. This is a fly in fly out role, though some driving is required.

We currently work all over Australia and in South Africa...with quickly developing opportinities elsewhere.

If you keen to join a growing company, send me a resume: michael.wayne@farleyriggs.com.au Visit our website (www.farleyriggs.com.au) if your want an idea of whats going on, or call me on 0420 633 697 anytime!

I'd love to but can't - Fadda was just having lunch and as he does once or twice a week now he took too big a bite or swallowed wrong of something and nearly chocked. Had to sit him up and help him cough his way through it.
    Just can't leave him.

$40k + 150 bonus per day on ticket for a client...it works out about $55k a year. If you think the Oil Industry is for you, don't let that deter you as after a year or so things change alot.

GreenHJ, send one through again if u like....I get a bit more of a say these days.

What advantages/disadvantages would working in oil have compared to a similar job looking for minerals? In what ways do things change after a year?

Devo, sorry for the late reply. I've never worked in the Mineral industry so cannot comment. To answer your second question, when you start you would be a trainee. Generally after a year you can move into a operator position, which basically means your more Senior and would have a role in training new Employee's etc.

I'm in IT at the moment, looking for a change, something like this would suit me very well at this point in my life. I'm a switched on person but I don't have relevant experience. Any point in applying at this stage?

oioioioioi: Honestly, we've had alot of people apply with Mechanical/Computer backgrounds....but if you have Mechanical experience aswell through hobbies (motorsport, engine conversions etc) whack it on the bottom of your resume, as it definitely helps.
