    S14 200SX misfire?

After some ideas for narrowing down a bad misfire my engine developed today.
Was running ok this morning, but when I started it this arvo it sounded like it was dropping back to 3 cylinders now and then. Drove it home and the misfire seemed to cleared at first, then it got worse and stalled a few times. Was lucky to make it back home, sounded like it was running on 2 cylinders.

Checked the intercooler pipes and none have blown off.

Suspect dud coilpacks, so pulled them and the sparkplugs out. Coilpacks look fine with no visible cracking. Plugs are very very black, but maybe thats just from dropping a few cylinders.

Any way to test the coilpacks? or any other thing to check?

can you start the car, and pull 1 coil at a time to narrow it down to 1 cyl? then just swap out that coil pack and see if it fixes the problem.

Yep I've had to do this a few times when my CA's coilpacks have died.

Just start the car and pull one coilpack off at a time. If the car's idle doesn't change for the worse when a coilpack is removed you've found the dud.
I do not like V slicers.

No need to actually pull a coilpack all the way off either. Just pull the loom plug off the coil. Safer too - less prickly.

Is there any way of checking for error codes?

I know the procedure for a pulsar GTiR which just requires abit of wire on the console port (right below the inside fuses).

running a Power-FC so no factory error codes. Will try and isolate it by unplugging coilpacks, going to be hard when it barely idles.

is it overfuelling? If all the plugs are super black it could be a dud fpr or something of that nature. Blocked return for example

if you had the hand controller you could check realtime data, like coolant temp, air flow meter and o2 sensor are all working and in spec.

if the plugs are black, major issue, either it isn't tuned properly to begin with or something has failed.
