this thing is win!
as others have said, hard to pick it as a low 9 sec car!

Great workmanship and awesome outcome of power vs economy, wish my solid cammed 355 was as economical...
Great car, would never pick it for a 9sec streeter
Awesome car and top marks on doing it nearly all yourself. Got any pics of where the wastegate comes off the manifold? Does the 48mm gate control the boost well?
Hr under construction
I'll have a dig around and find some more piping pics, gate is working well even with the back pressure from a single T4 Turbo.
Once it runs a 8 sec pass i want to strap on some radials and try and run some mid 9's with pump fuel and exhuast on etc, drive it 200km each way to and from calder.
cage pics?

If i cannot get a 8 sec pass from the Single setup i will rip it off and throw on two GT3540's and wind the wick up a fair bit more.
gt45 / BW s480???

Ide love a GT45R, but for the price i could have two GT35's and remove the Single T4 Flange Back Pressure Issue, i cannot fit a T6 Rear with the turbo on that side.
I will be trial fitting a S475 that has a T4 rear when a mate gets it from the states to see how it fits, as i like the borg warners and the price.
Why isn't this in street cars?

mmm bog warmers... i have found they are lazy compared to the garretts and will make the same power etc..
with out spending big money on the after market comp cover you may as well put a bush bearing 45 on it with the 1.22 exhaust housing which is a TA flange the same as a T51r not a t6 flange
im a cunt
and apparently i dont know shit...
Where can i get a bush bearing GT4508? I know forcedinductions in the US sell them, but they are not factory built buy garrett. I would love the extra turbine flow of the GT45 plus the bigger compressor side.
Gcg.. We fitted one to a 20b cosmo a few weeks back!

Fitted some new tyres and a bigger intercooler to the VK and took it out to calder yesterday to gather some data and see if could get my 60ft times back down to where i had them in late 2009.
Only got 0.95sec into a pass before i stripped all the teeth off another pinion gear, still managed to run a 1.73 60ft time. Looking at the data, it had hooked up nice and solid. But as it came up on boost it all got too much for the borg warner again.
So looks like time to move to the dark side and fit a 9in diff.
I was thinking this might be a bit heavy for a BW...
Good luck with it and keep us posted!

So that two sets of BW Gears it has detroyed, it has removed every tooth from the pinion and crown wheel this time. It has also folded and bent the lower control arms where the springs sit, the new tyres and sticky track must have been good.
