    Cool, Its like Christmas

I think Ive found a solution to the clutch question, Cable clutch conversions are common on Drag Hayabusa's (Hayabusii?) about $US330.00 for a bolt on kit

BTW the pressure sensor upgrade so you can put your sensors in is $270 plus the sensors, that allows you to put 4 inputs in so you can put wheel speed, oil pressure, fuel pressure and another sensor..

    pressure sensors are around $150

You mentioned this on the phone the other day Dale. Whats involved in the upgrade? As in, Is it easy enough to do it at a later date or will I have to send it away to get it done?

It's as easy as plugging it in and configuring the sensors! You can add it at any time

    And....

Moving right along, I thought i'd provide an update, Lets say progress is a bit slow, The car won't make the start of the season, It's looking mid season now.

Ive realised The clubman wil be used for the start of the year at least and I want to beat the magical 50 sec barrier at Grafton so a new set of Protech shocks and Soft V70's are about to be fitted

    I need .62 sec

    But I digress...

    Wiring is almost done
The new chain diff (MX5 torsen) with inboards is fitted, exhaust is set up and a few minor things round the car have been tidied up.

I'm still concerned about the the sump. THe swinging pickup sould do a fair job of staying wet but Ive decided to get the accusump simply for a bit of insurance

Anyone give me an idea of the best place to source one? Raceparts wholesale in the states seem to have reasonable prices, their postage seems a little high. I only need the 1 quart model.

    pics will follow soon

I've got accusump stuff from both summitracing.com and also carshopinc.com. Accusump works well, but my electric valve kit was becoming dodgy, so now I'm getting hold of a manual valve and remote release cable for peace of mind.

Thanks mate, What issues particularly? an electric valve would be much easier to use.

Valve only operates sporadically. Dunno why. Had a look and fed it 12v direct, but either valve is sticky or solenoid has lost its mojo. So a simple manual valve plus cable actuator is on order now. Much less to go wrong equals less chance of me doing another crank! Mind you I run a different sump now that holds steady oil pressure round corners so the accusump is more insurance than necessity as was previously.

Hi I stumbled across this forum and saw pics of my old car, and was interested to how things are progressing with it.
I was shattered when I had to sell it due to personal problems, but its good to see its in good hands now,
FYI the fuel pump bolts onto the engine block rear RH side you will find mounting holes in block look below throttle bodies.
    Engine is 1999 unrestricted model.
Goto the Edge Forum and start asking questions there they are very imformed about Hayabusa engines.
Thay also can help you with your exhaust questions.
    Regards Errol Mayo

    Gday Errol

I tried contacting you for a bit of information on the car to no avail. I found the Edge forums and some good advice. I'll pm you with my contact details if your interested in contacting me.

There hasn't been a lot of progress lately, A few issues with the clubman saw to that.

I used to work with Errol at ADI Newcastle back in the late 90's I think Errol was the first person I knew to buy a WRX.

    Cool

Hello looks like there are a few people here that know me, good time to catch up,,,

Nathan: I used to own Boyd Suzuki No85 Red and Black Formula Libra 750cc, which was a great little car and quiet quick, but I sold it to Dennis Russell now No.86 and I see Dennis still runs it, I wish I had never sold it.

Jim I would like to catch up with you PM me if you wish,,

Msmola, good to hear from you also, yes I am still kicking around.

Well after this thing gathering dust for the last 12 or so months I have decided that something needed to be done.

So I gave it to somebody else to do all the hard work and I'll just hand over money and ridicule till it's finished. Then I'll drive it.

He post's on here occasionally so I might leave it for him to put his hand up and introduce himself, and if he feels the need, he may post an odd update.

I need more money, I spent it all today on hookers and coke.

BTW, one of the wheels on the bottom of the table decided that it was carrying too much weight and has started to bend. I'll have to weld on some stronger ones, sod it.
Had a look at the panelling under the nose, I'll have to drill some rivets out and replace some alloy ..... by doing that you won't see the ground moving past under the car.

    You're just adding unnecessary weight
