    MX5 racecar build

Thought it was time to start a build thread on my new toy.

It is going to be built to 2B regs and be normally aspirated. There is not much racing for 2B cars in Vic but I will be able to run with Sports Sedans at AASA events. One of the main aims of this project is to have a car to build as it is a process I really enjoy. I've built up a couple of rally cars in the past (Escorts) and had the itch to build another car.
To start a couple of my old Escorts

    Twin Cam

    GT1300

Car as picked up from hail damage auctions in Melbourne 114,000 on the clock full service history etc, not a bad car.

Car now back from getting the cage at meridian (same as Lightyears car), really happy with the quality of the work done by them.

Next is to strip the underseal off, and start painting the entire car. I hoped to do that this weekend but I’m driving to South Australia in my mates one of these

To pick up one of these

Thanks Cal, I might just be in touch.

RotaUte, for 2B regs I've gotta stick with the original Mazda unit. It will run throttle bodies, got these coming from the states, a mate who lives there picked them up for me.

Yeah that's what I meant to say, I shouldn't do post while I'm supposed to be working.

Not getting much time lately to work on the car
Stripped the sound deadening and seam sealer

But some goodies from Japan arrived today

Tein Flex and a torsen diff. I run Koni race in my current car (very happy with them) so I thought I would try the Tein shocks and see how they compare.

My current car has been treated to new brakes and a once over also
