alright! things have happened. nearly time for some off road action.
We have plans for landcruiser park first weekend in may.
I mounted the ecu, fuses and relays behind and beside the glovebox.
glovebox is now slightly smaller, but at least puter is out of water zone.
Also bought a b+m shifter because i was too lazy to play around with a factory one.
that backfired, as the new lever for the gearbox hit the tailshaft, and i had to custom the whole things anyways!
Should have stuck with a factory shifter, the console would have been easier too.
Fitted a thermo, just fits between the pulleys on the engine.
No room for shrouding, will see how it goes anyways, could modify radiator support to give some more room i think.
Also fitted an oil cooler for the auto, Decided to stick with the proper brake style joins that the commo had, so got the flaring tool and made up some hard lines to suit.
This list is done and dusted...
bleed brakes (cause of diff change)
charge lt don't work?
Wire oil light up (can't find the damn wire)
transfer case oil
both diffs oil
auto shifter (coming from usa)
reverse lt hook up
start p+n only wired
Mount ecu + relay board
Clamp battery down
mount throttle cable properly
zorst
car Is now at the exhaust shop, dropped it off this afternoon.
So, left to do is ......get a rwc and mod plates.
then:
wire rear locker
skids
fit all bash plates
make sill protection

Good progress, get the rear locker working for a mad 4x4 smokeshow
Hr under construction
Exhaust is all done, sounds like a damn moo moo commodore, wanted it quieter but there is only room for one muffler.
Goes hard, shifts hard, and is an absolute pleasure to drive, the missus is going to love it.
Steering is lighter because of the commo pump even with the 33s, seriously drives like a much nicer car now, very happy!
rwc and mod plates booked for wednesday,
have received the pressure switches for the rear locker,
used the boost gauge off the rola to set them to 7 and 9 psi. Also bough a nasty $10 tire pump, just forgot to buy something to release pressure.

hmmm, no i didnt know that.
Its done 110,000 so hopefully it wont need doing anytime soon.
now attempting read the engine number for rwc, what a spot to put it in!
The list from rwc + mod plate guy :
1. front bumper parker not working
2. front diff mount split
3. 2 outer tie rod ends
4. rh upper control arm bushes
5. adjust steering box
6. adjust lh wheel bearing
7. find engine number
8. 3 tyres no good (stocko ones)
Have fixed all of the above, just need to read the engine number somehow.....

nope. a shifter from a pajero would be the go, factory console like its never been touched.
Commo shifter is all below floor leverage, couldnt get it to work to matter how hard i tried, would have been an abortion like this one.
But in the end its a 4wd, in a few months it will be covered in dints, and look truely punished, so really the butchered console will be the best part of the car.

This is all regoed, and proving to be quite reliable.
Took it offroad yesterday for the first time, went really well.
Wouldnt go into low range though, not sure why yet, but pretty confident its nothing major, as i have only had the gearstick out of the transfer case.
Tyres on the front touch on full lock under flex, will sort this out with large hammer soon.
Next task will be making a sump guard, sliders, and some new upper rear shock mounts.

This will be a weapon offroad once low range is fixed, auto + grunt = big win.
Hr under construction
Great to see its a goer and being used.
Look forward to seeing a Vid.
I Climbed Mt Druitt
Pulled the console out and had a look at the low range situation today,
it turns out one of the bolts i used to hold the gearstick in was a touch too long.
oh well, at least it was a simple fix..... so yep, vids soon i hope.

This thing is a weapon. He took it up little red today, did it easy. Its still got stock suspension so with some long travel shocks in the rear it will go even further.
Hr under construction
Got its first battle scars today also with some scrapes on the rear bumper on little red and a dented sill in this vid. The door now scrapes the sill when you close it, time for some rock sliders i think Matt.

Rear Shocks arrived, and 1" body lift. Never wanted to body lift, but the for outweight the against in the end.
Reasons i decided to body lift:
Fuel capacity (if i make a tank)
Rock slider clearance (making soon)
Tyre rub. a bit on the front mudflap on lock, but will not have to trim plastic now.
Longer shocks. (to be continued.)
This a is pic of the rear fully flexed out with the stock suspension, so looking forward to changing a few things.
rolla is my main focus atm, so it may take a few week before i fit the shocks, they are not a bolt in job, a bit if bracket making involved.

hella cool. well done.
more action vids please
Action vids soon, my internet sucks.
body lift is in, only took about an hour or so to do.
Started making the bracket for the new rear shocks too.
Also, thinking fuel pump was not keeping up in certain situations, so it recieved a 040 last week.
slightly larger....
