a Motec M800 will be controlling and logging everything, includes a high power CDI8. we are chasing around 1700hp which we should see on around 30-33psi on methanol. the car will be tuned by Shane Tecklenburg via remote tuning from the US (in layman's terms over the internet, he logs onto my computer and has complete tuning access) we will start off slowly as this is the first drag car i will have driven, unless u count the awesomeness of my everyday car which runs 14's@100mphlow boost of 15psi, then 22 then 30psi. the ultimate goal if everything clicks together is to run a 6-sec pass @ 200+mph.
few pics from the build

and a special project we are doing to race in APSA (Australian Pro-Street Association) in the Mod Street Blown category at the moment its looking like it will be a Ford Capri but i may change that to a 1999 Mustang have my eye on a really nice ex-drag radial car from the US the engine would go very nicely in it.
picked up the car yesterday, 90% of the electricals are done. still a few little bits to do but that is all done after the engine is assembled and everything is put back into place. gotta say the electrician (David North
he is used to working on 'real' racecars not nuggets like mine
next week we do the engine assembly and get back in to the electricals and get her ready for start-up, have the base tune done and all ready to go. next Friday me and the brosie wouldn't mind hooking in and putting it all in.
