wanted the 3spd jatco because they are common among the rotary guys, didnt want to go glide or c4.. And also the 13b rx7 ser 1, 2 ,3 come out with the jatco and bellhousing already bolts up.

I love how it says plans for the car, when it looks like most of that stuff is actually in the car already .

agreed, the 3sp is a relatively tough unit, cheap to buy, cheap to build, and bolts up... win all 'round

ps: what the fuck is wrong with convos? i propose a lifetime ban.

Suprisingly it was not too bad. All the rust was in places that are fairly easily fixed. The worst being on the rear passangers gaurd. The paint was stuffed, I just had too many projects to do at the time (still have a Ke26 - every day driver)

All we need to do now is finish this off and make space in my shed for some more tools.

I think there are enough tools in that shed, but you do need some more equipment, and more 2jz

alot of the sydney based rotary workshops are moving towards Haltech I believe.

No doubt they are a good product. My shitty 'ole E6K still works well and it's nearly 10 years old.

    ok quick update,
    - haltech is ready to go in, dummy fitted wiring to see where everything goes
    - had to drill and tap the snout on the throttle body to accomodate the bigger air temp sensor for the haltech.
    - LS1 coils are mounted and wired.
    - First half of exhaust is welded up, up to the diff.
    - Cooler pipes are nearly done, throttle side done just gotta finish the turbo side.
    - Tailshaft loop is done, tail shaft is in
    - rear end is completely welded up now
    - radiator is on its way from just alloy radiators.
    - ratchet shifter is in and connected
