Did you screw them to the rims?
yeah, it's from the old slicks. seems to be ok, went from 17 to 16psi in the staging lane, but, i would attribute that more to sitting for 2 hours and the low air temps (was just at dusk). seemed to hold steady during the day, after the run was showing about 18psi. was very smooth going down the track at that psi also, Joe said he coulda taken both hands off the steering wheel and just let it gobig change from Jambo, he was fighting it there as one of the front wheels was out of alignment, maybe hit a pot hole or something driving it around. usually they are smack bang on.
we took the Capri out tonight for a little Wednesday night fun and some final testing and checks for the APSA Pro Street Shootout. back on the radials, being a Wednesday night we aren't allowed to run faster than 9.0 so we were only doing half track testing, wanted to get the tune right down low. we weren't expecting much from the track, being a Wednesday night it's not usually prepped.
1st pass: she knocked out a 1.389 60' and 130mph to 1/2 track, we were definitely not expecting that good a 60' but we were gonna take it. back to the pits, she was a little fat, so we put a bit of timing in and took a couple % of fuel out.
2nd pass: 60' a 1.26 and 128mph, happy with the 60' not so much the 1/2 track. back to the pits, car didn't seem to like the extra timing, so we took it out and left the fuel as it was.
3rd pass: wasted pass. it blazed the tyres off the line, 1.46 60' didn't bother staying in it, data would have been useless. left the tune as it was.
4th (last) pass: we spoke to a track official and asked if we could do a full pass, he gave the ok. track had a bit of heat in it and it was nice cool air, staged the car nicely, came out of the hole sweet and a 1.336 60', best 60' on a radial by 3/100ths, car sounded strong, ran 131mph to 1/2 track, won't say what she ran, watch the video
Joe was on fire with his lights tonight, cut like a .040, .018 and a .014 on the full tree and a .140 on the Pro Tree![]()
we are now 7 passes in on a radial tyre, we are extremely happy with the progress, the car seems to love the extra weight and the radial tyres, hopefully we can continue to improve.
Awesome numbers there guys, looks like the radials are not going to slow the car down at all. Would have been interest eating to see how they would have compared to the slicks when it was a bit lighter and no exhaust etc. What is he running for a fuel system for the E85?
Farrrrrrrrrk! Solid times and MPH!
Looking good, #1 x275?

3 x Bosch 044, twin -8 AN fuel lines, -8 AN return, 8 x ID2000 Injectors, runs 70psi FP under boost, 40psi base.
thanks, yeah definitely happy, main thing we found that 30-40hp that was missing from the other week which is good, MPH is back up so that is a good sign.
we'd be happy anywhere in the Top 10, Johnny Habib was at the track last night, he was saying will be some very quick cars coming. main thing for us is have the car running smooth and consistent. was quite funny, a mate was saying Johnny was up in the commentary promoting the APSA event as Joe was coming out for a run, he was saying Joe will be running in x275 n it's a quick car this n that, then he blazes the tyres on the start and runs like a nugget, 10.5@95 or somethingmade up for it later

his achilles heel is red lights, everytime i tell him take it easy don't red light he doeslast night he got the lights perfect, he might be back to his old racing self. in the 302W days he used to do real well with the car, he is now more confident in himself and the car so he might be back in the right frame of mind

if he is laying down 1500hp, he will smash us, big back pressure or notCapri is only showing around 1150hp @ fly.
nah, his running a nitrous setup in the HG, ran 8.80 not long ago

mild compared to like GAS n thatthere's nothing wrong with the NA head, i think alot of people assume it would be much better. did the job for him, he is maybe looking at selling the car now, $25k ONO, for a car that should run a 7-sec pass that is cheap.
just uses the Speedflow 100-Series, you don't need teflon braided. the E85 will ''clean'' the hose out a little, so just change the filter after maybe 50-100 passes (2000km street driving) after that she will be sweet.
James from Full Race Fabrications, is bringing the Twin Turbo 1UZ Hilux, down from QLD for the APSA Pro Street Shootout. ran a couple 7-sec passes last night, one of which was a 7.925@176, on a radial tyre. hopefully we can get a little race happening between us, 2 of the quickest 1UZ cars in the country up against each other, should get a few guys salivating
Did James say he was on a radial? He has been running slicks of late?

Look forward to watching this beast on the weekend. Good luck guys
spoke with him a couple times, yea, nice guy. he has it on NOS now to bring it up on the converter. will be fun, just hope there is enough time for a grudgie or they clump Outlaw Radial and x275 together or something.
thanks mate, hopefully we can PB, there is a little left in the tune. the convertor is playing up a little it's done well over 150 passes now on it, see what happens![]()
