I now have a map with a tad to much timing so i'll pull that back a bit, the tt gasket should also drop the comp back in the 9s so that will help to.
My mate Matt pulled down his 2JZGTE he got from my mates Dans Aristo. The Aristo motor blew when he ran near 30 psi with a stock ECU and fuel surge and still managed 126mph with a blown converter. There were no cracked pistons. It just melted down the crowns from being lean. Are the GE pistons different?

Anyway you say you have a good head and block now for the KE, isn't the GE head different? Are you planning on using the GE head?

The crown is different and also and probably most critically the distance between the top and bottom compression ring is about 70% of the gte piston.

The drop in comp plus the pre tested timing limit should hopefully allow me to tune it into the 500rwhp range reliably.

The KE head is fine, i wont be using the ge head, just the block and crank.

Its alive, convertor stalls to 2500rpm easily on the foot brake and boost starts to build, with n20 hopefully it will go to 3k. Interestingly upon double checking the injector sequencing it appears i had In2 & Inj 4 mixed up previously, hmm

I cracked lands on 3 gte pistons by running too much timing Dennis. Crowns only showed slight sand blasting when compared with the 1jzgte piston I melted a thumb sized hole through, spewing pistons down the side of the rod many years back by leaning it out (100% duty).

Had a busy day at work so canned the idea of going to the tnt tonight. Figured i better test drive it a few days first. I tested the covnertor on the foot brake this afternoon, 2500 initial flare then not a great deal more happens. Flicked the n20 arm switch and hit it again, initial hit pushed it to 3000rpm it then climbs 100rpm as the the boost starts to build then the rpm starts climbing real quick i think it might just do it, either that or its going to brake the gearbox haha

    Saturday night tnt it is

You can't guarantee the stall without having exact specs on power?

Got down to 1.8 by mucking around with ignition retard and additional fueling

That's on caltex e flex and 50 shot from 1700rpm to 3500 rpm to get the convertor to work. Log shows a steady 236kpa or 19.9 psi. Should go ok with more boosts

was good to watch it race, you should have taken the baby seat out lol. i went and got 400 litres of eflex while i was down there its sooooooooo much more fun than 98 octane.
pitty about your convertor not wanting to come up easy, i had mine out 3 times to get it right but now i can get it to 4500rpm on the foot brake no dramas

To get the 1.8 60 I tried something different, 5 degrees retard and 15% more fuel during the n20 event between 1700 and 4000rpm. I had not tacho but
On the last pass I could hear the boost comig on before I let it go unlike the previous passes. A boost guage might be handy at some point to haha

yeh tacho and boost guage would probably help, i do the same thing with pump fuel i have a push button on the dash that when pushed retards timing and adds extra fuel brings it up twice as quick on the convertor. its been a while since ive used it but im pretty sure that i retard it alot more than 5 degrees and i add shit loads of fuel.
i wonder if you could use water injection as well to help bring it on convertor and so you can run lots of boost with high compression?

Definately made the difference, i might try a few tests with -10 degrees and even more fuel + n20.

I think now with a tt gasket it would be around 9.5:1 comp too.

She's not hanging a wheel like yours yet but it sure squats alot for a 1.8 60 haha
