Suggest you go up in stall size rather than diff gears. Mine hits 6000rpm crossing the line at 108mph in 3rd with 3.89's. It has a 4000rpm stall granted, but you'd be revving it hard crossing at 125+mph!
What diff gears are you running now?
Moving the throttle body to the front means relocating the alternator and having new throttle and kick down cable made. Plus we would probably have to chop a hole in the bonnet.
We are already going over the line at around 5800rpm in 3rd at 125mph. We have capped the rev limit at 6000 at the moment as were not quite ready to break the crank yet.
We are still running the 3.08 gears.
The reason we are running it rich with no timing is to keep the engine in one piece as we didnt know what air flow distribution was going to be like in the new intake manifold. We could run more timing but for the moment we will keep it safe.
TuffVQ has moved throttle body to the front of plenum, though...

After seeing the 13's for $1300 thread we (my two brothers and I) thought that we would give it a crack
So we went out and bought this.
Full running and driving VN series 1 with ice cold air con.
Our first idea (and only real option) was to turbo it so we bought this turbo with munted front cover and leaky oil seal.
So this weekend just past we thought that we shoudl get some shit done so we modded the standard manifold using sections of the stock exhaust to make these.
And used some scrap 10mm plate for a T4 flange
So after all our work so far this is how it looks.
