picked up the new project car about a month back....an old friends neglected AUDM Starlet EP91, that has been converted to 4EFTE power. Had suspencted Blown...in teh process of fixing it

Huge intercooler means rough fitment of front bar....and yeah...bit of white paint to camouflage the intercooler pipe haha

Im pretty sure the Glanza V dash is different to this. This is the dash from the EP82 GT.

This is the culprit for the rough idling...That hole under "5E" should be lined up with little indent on the head. Its at least 4 teeth out!

Hopefully get this all cleaned up and presentable...make it look stock

Excellent pickup indeed. I reckon you'll be hard pressed to get 13's out of it though without some good tyres. Good mate back in the day had similar sorts of mods and power levels but the best he could ever manage was a 14.2 due to wheelspin. Get a bigger turbo and you may be able to run down a 13 sec timecard in the deep end but will be worse off the line.

Watching with great interest though. Farkin awesome little daily thrasher for sure

Gut it and spend the $300 on drag radials or 2nd hand slicks and she might get there.

Thats a nice little score. A bit of effort on that wiring and maybe some heat shielding over the manifold (or HPC) would go a long way to cleaning up the engine bay.

If anything this thing might make you some money if fixed and sold off after you've had some fun with it.

The 5e timing mark is not the one you want to use, you need to use the 4e one..

Actually I know that car well, that's one of my inlet manifolds as well.. From memory it made 205hp on 19psi..

just so you know on the spoke that is pointing straight down is another mark that says 4e and a hole, turn the crank 180deg and it will be lined up spot on i reckon..

Thanks for those tips Dale! My friend has had it for a few years, all he did was drive it to the station everyday. Then it stopped working, so he just let it sit on his driveway for a year as he bought a new car.

All that wiring is sorted out now, just gotta get a new 02 Sensor, and re wired the emanage at was a bit of a mess. Ive got some 14" watanabes for it and a glanza wing.

BTW I had an EP82 that ran a 13.7 with less mods!

I will sell it once its all tidied up...would love to give it a go round Wakefield too...I got these coming in and its got the latest yoko semis

yep turbo kit fitted and tuned was about $2500 back then, intake manifold $800, injectors, ecu etc etc probably $7k all up

Initially he thought he had done the HG, so him and his old man changed the timing belt, hence the belt not on right. I have fixed that now and done comp test. Perfect at 170 on all cylinders. Still idling rough tho.

the only other thing that goes wrong with them is the dizzy cap and rotor and leads.. fucking hard to get and exxy.. i used to put coil packs on them to fix that problem..

well since the sale of the wagon, I managed to save some money to put on top so I can now afford this car for $1300
