Keep the tray and it would make a good parts collector/dump run truck with the Falcon motor in it!

    get farked, lol!!

might be worth chopping the roof 5" and replacing glass with lexcen. defo need the tray on though, unless doing rear mounted turbo's and cooler etc.

I'm hoping the motor won't be too far in front, motor-gearbox-diff all behind the cab would be much more entertaining.

fark. that magna, the smashed e series falcooon in the backgound, the patrol or whatever that crusty thing is in front of the helltruck would be easier than this! I do however, predict massive lols for this project.
I remember as a kid seeing my mates mum trying to get up a steep hill on a slightly wet day in a E series van, those tiny little back tyres were spinning at fair rate of knots!

Motor on way from paddock to workshop

    http://img233.imageshack.us/i/20110103152626.jpg/

This is moments after the hairy assed spider bit me

    http://img148.imageshack.us/i/20110105175210.jpg/

    Current costing
    Cab/chassis: $33 (1 case). . . May even buy him two
    EL 4.o motor: Free
    Th350: $50
    Plate for gearbox adapter: $28
Countersunk bolts for adapter plate: $3
    Pintara: $50
VTEC type rocker cover paint : $20
    Steel: $21
    Subtotal: $205

I don't have a problem with people adjusting these figures any damn way they like, these are the actual prices I paid.

Awesome choice! Always wanted a fast truck like this.

Any out of the ordinary plans for the engine?

I only see one problem. The Th350 will not know how to shift when it gets postive pressure under boost unless the gearbox get rebuilt.

Other then that I really want to see this happen

How long was that engine sitting in a field?

You just leave the vac line off & shift it manually.

Chuck - a shift kit that you can fit yourself in about an hour is something like $40 - gets rid of the pesky upshifts when the trans decides the motor is revving hard enough.
I fitted one to the t400 in the tonner in about 1.5hrs up on axle stands - piece of piss.

I'd suggest ditching the dinkywheel diff and fit an entire commodore IRS cradle. That way you won't need a tailshaft and can move the motor and box right back. Commo IRS seems to hook up pretty well too.
