i think its been confirmed for US production to hit the Scions and CRZ types
look at the interior.... there's nothing there that's not production ready
it's also US$17k starting which hits Gen Y right thar

Will Hyundai Aus be homosexual and not import it like the Genesis Coupe
doesnt look too bad - I imagine fwd too?
Fuck they have come a long way in 20 years...think of the first Hyundai that had everyone saying they would never buy Korean. Now it looks like they not only have quality sorted out but they are possibly leading the design race too, definitely more exciting than most Jap stuff now (to look at).
Shit the Japs took 40 years to sort their shit out, the Koreans 20...Id suggest the chinese might get it sorted even quicker. But fuck me they have a long way to go if the great wall ute I rode in 2 weeks ago was any indication...worst bit was the door wouldnt open using inside or outside handles, so I couldnt get out of the godawful thing.
one thing they ain't selling is that it's a 3 door coupe
right side has two doors, left drivers side has one big door
perhaps it won't make it to production but the cut lines do indicate this is what it is

Totally agree with Edo on the Koreans. Hyundai/Kia are kicking major goals with their current range. They've come a long way since Exel 3 in just a couple of model refreshes. The Japs must be shitting themselves. Especially Nissan/Mitsubishi who have has a lot of model misses recently.
As for the Chinese, if you hear the recent reports about espionage at Renault, they will just steal IP and leapfrog quickly.

Not really. They own the hybrid segment, whatever sports car or big sedan they make gets lapped up by foreign markets as well as their own, and they've downsized their line ups from retarded levels 20 years ago... they don't really give a fark for the cheapy hatch back/5-door shopping trolley or small/medium sedan segments any more. Sure they still make them but you'd expect other manufacturers like the Koreans to take up the slack and do a better job over time. The question is where are the Korean GT-R/LF-A/IS-F/Prius/Insight/CR-Z/Crown/Mark X/Fuga/Alphard/Vellfire slayers? I'm sure in another 20 years they'll have them too, maybe when the Japanese have moved on to hover cars.
I reckon 10...
what the fck is with the shoebox styling going on lately?
I actually really dig a lot of the styling of hyundai and am feeling the interior a lot on this, but could never park a shoebox in my driveway,..
Wheres that other Hyundai with the turbo i4 and the v6, why the fuck isnt that available here.
they will need to reverse this for rhd markets obviously
this is the problem i see for the japanese... the koreans are able to introduce cars with a 'unique selling points'
look at this forum... how interested are we in a new Civic??? who the fuck cares
this little Korean looks interesting
'interesting' is needed to get punters signing on the dotted line

Football, meat pies, kangaroos and carbon tax!
Looks good from the windshield back but I'm not really feeling the nose on the sucker. Might look better with a number plate to break up the green/black front.
Other than that I like it - spiritual CRX reincarnation maybe?
I think the styling it at the borderline of what people can accept. Have to say the Koreans (well, their european stylists) do the whole "wheel size to wheel arch" proportions alot better than the japs. It will probably look good on normal sized wheels.
