Foes DHS Mono Downhill race bike.

So to find my adventure into Supermoto racing the Foes has to go. I built it at the start of last year out of all new parts and had it looked after by a bike mechanic mate who has serviced it and made sure it was in tip top condition after every race meet. It was a no expense spared build with the best parts I could buy at the time.
The frame is an 09 but is still the current Foes DHS Mono 2:1 frame. Each DHS Mono is still hand welded by Brent Foes himself with a very limited number of frames being made each year. I think he knocks out around 50 a year and at last check its a 14 month waiting list for one. Also each Curnut rear shock is made for each frame so you get the perfect action from it though all 10 inches of rear swingarm travel . As you would expect with such a bespoke frame it comes with adjustable steering head angel and a floating rear calliper set up to stop rear brake jacking. The frame is a Large so it would suit most guys from about 5'7 up although with a DHS there is bugger all between the small and the Large off the top of my head its 1/2 and inch in the main spar.
Grear wise its all high end stuff like a full Saint cranks and chain set,Avid codes,Sunline billet direct mount stem and Boxer world cup forks,Hadley front and rear hubs,Carbon bars etc
The Boxer forks are 08 limited edition works world cups with gloss black legs
While I could of bought new world cups when I did the build I choose these as
most people including myself regard them as the best forks rock shox have made. Each to their own but IMO they feel better than the new forks and Fox40's good but shit for parts and like to blow seals at the drop of a hat.
If you are a complete sick'o I have some DMV upside down 39mm air forks you can put on it to look cool but race slow.

Anyway its all high end spec and a very fast bike thats way above my level. I am just a wanker/hack who likes to have nice shit. Abit like the old guy in the 599FFX who cant drive for shit but still has one. I dropped 10seconds off my P.B on my first run with this bike so it cost me about $650 per second lol.
Every person who has ridden the bike comes back in awe of how smooth and fast it is. You can run into or over crazy rocks and it just soaks them up with not even so much as a shake of the head. Great if you are a hack like me.

Anyway here are a few build pics it now has a black Mavic rim on the front.
I have the bike getting serviced now but will get some more pics when it comes back if anyone is serious about it. I am going to put it on Rotorburn etc in the next few weeks but though I would chuck it up on here first.
Price wise I am looking at ~$2,500ono build cost was around 6K so I think that's around the mark but I am happy to talk about it.

From the sounds of things racing supermoto is going to be cheap compared to racing that MTB!

    Does look mad tho.

    drool. Looks nice.

Do want, but that would make me a bigger hack/wanker since I have zero skills. I like shiney things with wheels

    Good luck with sale

Not yet mate. I thought I would give p.f guys a chance at a cheap high end bike first . I will put it on RB for 3.2 but would rather avoid the dreamers and kids.

Fuggen. I am tempted to move my Santa Cruz V10 on for this. Wanted a Foes since I was a teenager.

Whats it weigh and what is the headtube angle? I like the agility of the V10 compared to say a Demo 8, does it prefer the faster open sweeping corners or the tight tech shit?

I will be on it this weekend. If I ride like a muppet and crash then I will blame the bike, sell it, buy the Foes and decimate all*

*I'll buy the Foes and leave it to rot in my garage

Sketchy it will do both with ease. The head angle can be changed to suit the track it takes about 3min to do. I have it set up on the faster side of things right now from my last trip to snowys. But it will still cave up tight turns like a mofo.
Can't say I've ever weighed it but around 17kg would be right. You could drop 2kg
off that if you lash out $1200 on a curnut air shock from foes.
You just have to send them your frame number and they will knock one up to suit the frame.
I did not build it to be super light I built it to last.
LoL a guy with a V10 bought my other DHS mono to ride.
For anyone who is really keen I have an old state track less than 5min from my house. It's man eater and owes me a couple of broken bones but you can give it a run at your own risk.

LoL nah Killi is the easy track the big track is Sugarloaf many more steep, big rock gardens and pains FTW.
Go point on the deposit though it might be a case of payment in full before you hit the track in case the track hits you and I cant get my money out of your cold dead hand.

Ah Sugarloaf, forgot about that, claimed many LoL.

Thought i'd mention the payment part, seen a few people including myself end up with a messed up bike and someone you have to break more parts of body to get money out of!

I was thinking about your bike the other day as I was riding this awesome fast sweeping single track with some small <1m jumps/drop offs thrown in for measure.

    That's all I got.

I would be quite happy to challenge just about any dirtbike down a few of our local runs if A) I wasnt currently so unfit I'd puke at the first corner and B) I could resist the urge to kill a dirtbike rider shredding the trail up.

All ready for pick up first thing Sunday.
Sketchy I'll give Tim a spare set of bars, couple of sprockets I had floating around and a shock pump. If the bikes been sitting for a few weeks it will need a spot of air in the shock before you ride. I reckon 65 psi will suit your weight well.

P.S do you need any gear? Shorts, Knee shin guards. 5ten Rennie signature mid top DH shoes etc before I sell them on rotor burn.

No word from Tim yet, I'd assume the blokes are sleeping after a mammoth drive back from Sydney. Would be keen on the shorts but I'm fairly sure they won't fit my narrow white arse
