Its coming along really nicely, and getting a 102in wheel base is pretty cool and should make the car pretty stable.

Wasnt this a NA model mx5 though and not a 2006? Are you changing it to an NC?

lets be serious here... how long is group 2 SC going to last?? all the big players are off running something else... everyone else is going to have to go back to group 3..

Look at it the other way. How about the people who wouldn't have been competitive because the big guys (most of whom weren't running /SC anyway) won't be there?

I know that I interpret the rule (Section 3.15 'Super Compact' sub-section 7.2) as "ANDRA want to know how and to what degree you're modifying the standard body shape before issuing a log book for it to run as CC/SC".

Don't confuse me trying to do the right thing by you in terms of the rules as me questioning the legality of your car.

Just trying to keep the car to the rules trying hopefully it should be ok

see you are lucky going full chassis, you can race it in the factory extreme class if you wanted to, whereas I cant race mine there because its only a half chassis... bloody people that make up these rules...

Your tuner is the driving force behind the class, mate. Besides, 7.40's won't cut it in Factory Extreme when the quicker cars are already a full second quicker. It's like saying the rules for pro stock are dumb because a carby small block Torana can't race with them running 8.40's.

ha ha ha, I knew you would bite but that was pretty quick.. Im hoping the car will run 7.20's when I actually learn to drive it, plus isnt it open to 4cylinder cars too, what do quick ones of them run in Australia?

There are now a couple of 4's into the bottom 7.20's and a couple more in the 30's-50's that will soon be in bottom 7's / high 6's territory too.

I don't no how the engine is going to perform . There is a couple of drag cars i South Africa and America with 1000hp-1100hp with the same engine but mine is full chassis . Il have to learn how to drive first . Been a long time. Hopefully mid 7's il be happy.
