CAMS roll cages (solo roll hoop)

So I am at that stage and I am fabbing up the back stays from Section J in the CAMS manual...

Now I require a pair of removable back stays that run over the engine compartments. I could slide the engine out the back if I wanted too, but I want to be sure. Nothing like welding up the chassis and being unable to get the engine in or out of the car..

According to the item 16 I can have removable back stays

what I am confused about is the use of Rose joints in the demountable members instead of clevis joints. This would be connection detail J57

I can't see rose joints being legal and I don't know why you would want to use them. They would have to be large to handle the potential forces.

I have these great key way roll cage joiners, they lock together and don't rely on the bolts to stop it from ripping apart.

I think I'll stick with the clevis joints...

I dunno why they put 10mm as the shear bolt dim mention but nothing else on it
