Cracka's white boy shitbox Gen 3 Liberty. TT V6 wouldn't fit so now V12.

I sold all my TT Vq shit to Cracka when he was drunk and cashed up with fitment to his Gen 3 liberty sedan as part of the deal. I needed cash for the Crown's billion $ body resto and Cracka has lots so I swindled it out of him.

Finally rolled it into the home shed on thursday and started pulling the melted subaru engine out. Dropped it completely out on saturday and dropped the Vq in but it wouldn't fit because it is the tallest engine ever built. I cut the fuck out of the sump and it still wouldn't fit. I cut the eyeballs out of the Xmember and it still wouldn't fit under the bonnet, like by about 100mm. I put it down to the gay way subaru have built there Xmember. It seems they buill it to fit subaru engines rather than nissan V6's.

I thought I'd throw the V12 in there for laughs and it fitted better than the stupid V6. So then I rang Cracka and told him he needed a V12 instead and he said whatever, as long as it skids.

So Face came down today and we figured out a Xmember/rack mounting modification that would have the least impact on steering geometry and allow the engine to fit.

    Proof that the bonnet shuts.

    Proof that it opens.

Acres of space in there, the std headers will even fit with a bit of fettling.

Need a bellhousing and T56 now.

"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."

No more frontal weight than a subaru engine. It's an all alloy V12 with less than half of it's weight forward of the Xmember vs a subaru engine which has all of it's weight forward of the Xmember.

I will have to cancel the entry to timeattack.

as you say, its a good thing cracka has lots of cash, that means he can afford to ditch the intake and ex manifolds and get a proper plenum made, like your last effort on the 1uz-t ute .. top stuff

whats the qld rego on a v12 these days?

If I had lots of cash it wouldnt be a 12 year old liberty shitbox my sister in law likes to crash and blow up. Its just a replacement engine to get it back on the road.

It's a practical conversion in my view. It fits without much hassle, it's legal, it's torquey and sounds good. Car is well built, not so old that it is like TT's R32 or Cop's S13, has easy handling and brake upgrades, S14 R200 diff fits easily, it looks like nana's car, it's white so is easy to clean, it has a mod plate for something already so Cracka can lie and say it is engineered.

lots of people have told me it's a good idea! but in the theme of these things being turbo in good form and the VQ being a DET, not a bad idea reckon...

Turbos will have to wait til mod plate. There really is a whole lot of room for turbos, like decent sized ones, twin GT3076's perhaps. The factory headers will fit ok in the interim though til Cracka gets sick of NA.

Now where have i seen this before?

Just keep the boost lowish on the V12 as it has the skinny 'scourge of modern toyota's' rods and they would be getting suss over 10-12psi i reckon. Still, 5 litres of V12 on 10psi will still chuck epic skidz
