This turned an otherwise boring Monday in to an awesome Monday. Thanks!
It also seems they fit in a Supra alright... Good for running 12s @ 145mph

all subys including libertys are 4wd right ? so what happened with this , just threw the front shafts away ? that simple ?
3 speed auto with 300zx diff in the back.
So does this now mean the PF banner needs to be tweeked?
You'd be a fucken idiot if you did. qboob is a damn nice car for general cruising around. Take from a cunt who has a car for every occasion, you need at least one car in the collection that is comfy with aircon, reasonably unmodified to just get around in. Using hektik frankenconversion rigs as dailys will end up in tears because they will cease to be interesting or will just break shit all the time.
Convincing Az to put one in his shorty once the porsche of doom and failure is moved on though is a winning move.
I daresay that the front bit of the driveshafts will still be in the hubs to hold em together

Yeah the usual Suby trick for that stuff is leave the stub axles in to keep the bearings from collapsing..? Al may have something better now, but that'd be my hunch!
Actually spoke to driveline services today about it (other liberty got a new cv for being a good
Boy). Recommend maching the cup off and balancing. But whatever. Also said at 7000rpm prop Shaft should have a centre bearing. Need measurements to plug in their computer after diff flange is made.

It can't have a centre bearing, the driveline angle now is nothing like the wonky subaru driveline.
Leave that shit to me, niggers try to rip you off, why the fuck would you need to machine the cup off a CV joint to make it balanced, what do they think the fucking thing was used for prior to have the guts knocked out of it.
Would this conversion also work in a Gen 4 Liberty or do they have CANBUS or other technotrickery of some description?
The 'cups' have been fine on my AWD to RWD conversion now since 2004 with no issues and plenty of time spent above 200kph. There's a kilo or so to machine off and i'll do it one day when the front wheel bearings need replacing, just to neaten it up and lose some unsprung weight....hardly a priority though and hasn't killed any babies yet![]()

I spoke to driveline services about a driveshaft for mine, they recommended a 3" steel shaft which completely goes against the calculations Momus provided in a thread i started in general last week.
(and everything else ive read elsewhere as well)
So did a little more research - am now having a single 3.5" 6061 aluminum driveshaft with spicer 1350 uni's made elsewhere - perhaps you should also look at this yourself.

I think you guys missed the part where I said "but whatever" as in, I dont give 3/5ths of fuck all for maching the cup or balancing or fucking about with a stub on a skid pig.

I'll be dropping in after 2pm on saturday too.
Yesterday I was showing Tim and Jon the car and after runing it and looking underneath it I noticed that one cat was hot and the other not. Oh shit, one bank is not doing it's thing.
So with the help of Dale and Elfturbomax I sorted that just now and got the mofo running on 12 cylinders. I nearly jizzed when it started on 12. So disregard those other vids, the proper ones are here.

Wow! That is nice. I now wonder if a twin turbo'd landcruiser would show them cayenne soccer mums up.
Cracka is fully barred up. It's awkward.
I can't even imagine what will be going through cunts heads when they get chopped by this! Awesome A+++.
