Is 120 really that noteworthy? I mean the only 'fast' cars I've been around are 120mph cars, az's liberty, etc. Or have I just struck gold and skipped an entire chunk of cars? Looking over the US impreza forum shit there is a few hundred cars running 120mph+.

the time isn't that special, but it just isn't shit, which given its a TT v12 in a subaru, with no room for a decent rear tyre who knew what it was going to do. 14s @ 120 was a real possibility.

You can run down to 10.5s now, without cage. You should do that easy with a little more boost, corn fuel and some radials

Ring lands don't make black smoke, they make white smoke.

This momentarily had lots-o black smoke, followed by no fuel pressure by the sound of it. Something up with it.

Why do you ask two dogs? I realise mine won't be stupidly powerful nor stupidly fast in the grand scheme. But by far the most powerful and fastest car I'll have ever owned.

Yours will be faster. I don't think you're doing yourself justice until you take mine for a drive. Anytime you like. Please wear two sets of undies.

You about this weekend? Might take you up on that offer. Will be over at Aspley on Saturday arvo, could slip out for a bit.

Yeah, I'd reckon so. I've been driving Catherine's car a bit lately and every time I have the traction control interrupt the fun I think about what my car will be like with nearly twice the hump, two thirds the weight, narrower tyres and no traction control.

Correct me if I'm wrong but first time out, sub-optimal tyres, sub-optimal converter, sub-optimal tune in an engine that is pretty much a complete unknown and you're still quicker than, what, 80-90% of cars on the road? Cant be too disappointed with that....

    FWIW I am very impressed.

    Yep, absolutely expected.

Dyno has a fixed acceleration rate, on the road the rate slows the faster you go, meaning the load is greater on the road.

My rig was fine on the Dyno, but spat a Rod in top gear at over 100mph.

    Love the liberty Frankenstein cracka.

what do the pistons look like- specifically, how thick are the crown and comp ring lands?

    what's the comp ratio?

how is the vipec ecu treating you?

Running that time and trap speed on the first time out with such a whacky engine package is nothing to sneeze at. I suspect that once you up the diff ratio it will walk into the 10s.

Most cars that are trapping the same speed and running 11's have been refined over a number of trips to the track.

You turned up with a bizarre conversion that's had a single tune, is running the first attempt at turbo sizing, has an untried converter, a diff ratio suited to an engine with a quarter the hp and a fifth the torque, you have zero drag experience and it was wearing pizza cutter rubber, and it still smashed out an 11.

    Look at that way:-)

What's the easiest access to a weighbridge around brissy? Just a local dump?

When I look at this car out the front, I imagine it says to me "fuck off" turns away and spits.

That's what it's about. It doesn't care what anyone thinks.

Do a dump run to nudgee. Easy.

Cracka should buy my wheels for skid rims - 235 595SS, 17x7.5, 5x100, 35 offset - perfect for the job.
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."

I get free/negligible cost tyres and have a set of 16, 17 , and 3 sets of 18's to keep a steady stream. What I need is 15's for some drag radials of some sort, or an idea of what will be comparable in grip in a 17.
