    Jeep TJ Sport

Well I wanted a 4x4 of some kind to muck around in and drive to and from work. After looking at 11hundredmillion kinds of shit I had more or less given up on anything with under 500,000 klms being under the national debt of Greece. In a state of semi drunken tiredness I stumbled upon a cheap TJ. So rang the the guy up and picked up Jim to go and have a look at it. Old mate on the phone tells me its a good thing, we turn up and its a steaming pile of shite. Any way the idea kind of stuck as I had kind of wanted another FJ40. This gave me my SWB 4x4 and had a bit more comfort than an FJ.
So the search was on. After dinging up a Aussie Jeep forum I came a cross a my99 2 owner TJ with 130klm on the clock and full books. A couple of emails and some arm twisting on my part a deal was stuck so last night a mate and I drove down to Sydney to pick it up.

    Mods so far.
    Safari snorkel with K&N filter.
Headers,Hi-flow cat and 3" pipe all the way to the back.
    Some kind of "Mopar" tune.
ARB Air compressor mounted in the engine bay.
ARB Air lockers in the front and rear diffs.
    4:11 Diff gears.
Cant remember what kind but some kind of after market axles.
    Rubicon express 4" lift.
    Rubicon express control arms.
    OME shocks.
    Quick release sway bar links.
A new set of 33's and a new set of 31"s both on rims.
And prolly some other crap I've forgotten.

Long term plans are a tube winch bar and winch,Hardtop, rock sliders, body lift and some 35's or 38's...
I am off to the US on Saturday so will come back with some kind of shit for it lol.

LOL if you listen close to the P.F collective you wont ever buy any car ever made lol. I've heard your thoughts on Jeep thought so thanks for the offer.
Already has 4" lift and slip joint less H.D tailshaft.

Looks like a good buy, these things are very good offroad and with both diffs locked it will take you over some seriously rough tracks. Sounds like you already know of their downfalls but with the lockers you wont need to give it hell you can just crawl over obstacles and not break stuff.

Thats a fukn awesome buy, has most of the gear you would want already on it. Im thinking of getting the same thing, for the kind of 4wd'ing I want to do a 3ton patrol is just pointless.

Mind sharing what you picked it up for (ballpark)?

12k. I drove a hard bargain though. Quite a few around for that kind of cash but it took a bit to find one with receipts for every $$ spent and all the known problems already fixed.
Stuff like the rads seem to split and this has just had a new rad put in.
I would guess normal market price for it to be mid teens.

    Mr.P it's a around 12.5 ltr's per 100 so far...

Eddie the snorkel is not ome. Fitment has a hole in the bottom of the guard but pipe comes back up high in the bay to the airbox.

That's pretty cool. Auto or manual? What are they rated to tow?

Looks good dude. Leave it as is though. More lift and 35s will make it an unbearable sack of crap to drive. Theyre a really capable car with minor mods. I've seen a TJ with a 2inch lift, open diffs and 31-inch remoulds do all the tough tracks in the Watagans. When are we going to see Wooders?
