    Thanks for the comments guys

I'm using a UNITIG machine, It'll need a bit of duco before it goes in any magazines I think. Duratec is the Ford marketing name but yes its the same engine, the motor is full of Ford and Mazda bits, it was pulled from an 04 Mazda 3 FWD. The turbo is an s200sx. If anyone needs anything just shoot me a message. I might have some more pics later on.

you outsource the folding or do you have a big pan brake in the shed?

you 3D model stuff before fab (e.g. ex manifold)?

when making the sump did you need the top and front faces milled?

you got any progress fab pics of the inlet mani?

Folding is done on my panbrake. Nothing on the car was designed on CAD and yes the faces must be milled true. I'll try and get some pictures of the intake manifold, it's very basic in design, probably nothing better than a standard manifold, something I whipped together until I have the time to design my good manifold.

I have been doing this for a few years now and only just started taking on work. The first major job I started on the car was the diff conversion.

Got to remember to wear sunscreen on shoulders and arms when you weld with a singlet or you end up with nice tan lines. Big red ones if you weld using over 100amps!

Cylinders are paired depending on the firing order of the engine. If yours is 1342 then cylinders 1 and 3 are paired and 2 and 4 are paired.

Plumbing shop should have the tools needed to bend soft tube like aluminium or copper, there is a bit of "over the knee" bending needed too.

I've been welding for almost a couple of years now, some people pick it up quick and others really struggle with it.
