I have been tossing around the idea of a WRX wags and had been looking at bugeye's and up to 04's as a cheap(ish) runabout to toss the bike in the back of and generally arse about it,
now the idea of a MY99/00 with a little bit of coin thrown at it seems to make more sense. they're lighter and probably look better than a bugeye (although i'm one of the wierd ones who actually likes the look of them)
most of the wagon's seem to hold the money a bit better - carsales have clean ones from $10-$14k (with on dreamer at $20k lol)
I wonder how much i can lowball this bloke down to?

I would rather a late classic (99 00 with the 4 pots better interior etc) and a 5/6k 6 speed conversion than a 20k GD wagon
that is my thinking at the moment. maybe coilovers, suspension and bit of engine work before 6sp though
having said that, i'm finding MY01/02's are around $12-$14K and MY03/04 are $15-$17K - not quite $20K, but getting up there.
10K on a 100,000km GC and $7K on mods would be a pretty decent bunky compared to a stock '03 for the same money.

Ive been there too - HR30 R31 R32. Nearly bought a 33 before this, but it was unregoed, and I didnt have time to deal with headaches getting it regoed. Full of fruit though (hks turbo pfc coilovers carbon triple plate two way gtr interior)
For the 15k mark not much will match a nicely modded RS/GC8
