And yet Cal's mate's Ascari isn't. I know Cal would love a steer of it. What's your point? Why so sandy? Did you offer Cal a drive of your datsun to get it on the list and get knocked back? You know there is more than one person on a committee?

Prodsports does tend to be weird and whacky. One group who ran with them a decade or more ago were told to push off....and then one, of said group, got an invite for Bathurst last year....and now this year, told, wouldn't be welcome - go figure!

That said, seems a strange waste of a page or more on this pointless debate by someone not running. Might look out for a red and white shitbox, in rally trim no less, when the Ginetta starts lapping the traffic too.

I'm glad to hear you are going. I'll buy the CD for sure, so get lots of those lovely shots you take.

So boring Harry. You are drawing a fuck load of conclusions about something you know little about and effects you less.

Perhaps someone with no idea about any of these things should keep their internet opinions to themselves.
Oh of course, when I was driving and officiating at hillclimbs a decade ago I had no idea about any of those things. And yes, the MGCCQ often does have its own particular interpretations of rules (the ROPS requirements are one that spring to mind).
Here's an idea Harry, if you're so butt hurt about being in a position to run a 2B car that's not eligible, how about you take Cal's place on the eligibility committee and get your own car approved? Cos that's how the system obviously works

Shitty low res incar. Until I find suitable software to edit videos this is it. Reality is I will unlikely get a chance before heading to Bathurst on Thursday. Anyhow, sounds the same Was circulating in the 1.19's on the National circuit with a long way to go yet. Need more laps.

That was shot on a Radcam, albeit at 720. While editing the clip shorter it got fucked up to 240.

Yeah it's 6 shades of awesome. It's quicker than me, that's for sure. Will take a while to get used to the aero grip, sizable slicks and direct steering. I've never driven a race car with steering like it. It's like telepathy. I had to concentrate on slowing down the initial turn in to be smooth.

I know the Viper was bigger and heavier but how much of a difference was the handling between it and the Ginetta?

Cheers Martin. We are flying down mate.

I never really got the chance to explore the outer limits of the Viper's handling, but I know you couldn't stand on the throttle exiting a corner like you can in this thing. I suppose it did have more than twice the power. This is much lighter and more nimble. I'll be better qualified to comment after the weekend.
