    chev v8 diesel

    i want to fit an auto constant 4x4 from a 80 series landcruiser to my 80 series which has a v8 diesel manaul gearbox what adaptor plate do i need

    What? Do you mean you have and an auto from an 80 Series GXL (which is full time 4WD) and you want to fit it to your (what I'm assuming is) 80 Series DX, which is part time 4WD and currently has a Chevy 6.5L diesel V8 and manual gearbox?

    You should only need the engine to auto adaptor plate, the auto should mate with the T/C no problems.
    Talk to these guys, www.marks4wd.com about their Chev V8 diesel to Toyota gearbox adaptors. You'll need to know what motor the box was originally attached to (1FZ-FE, 1HZ, 1HD-T).
