Having bought the RC8R the trusty blade is now not getting ridden other than as a loaner bike. I intended to keep it as a track bike but at this stage I am rapidly running out of room and would prefer to put the cash towards other things. Has just been an awesome bike for the last 5 or so years I've owned it and proven to be extremely capable both in the mountains and on the few track days I've done.
2004 CBR600RR was originally red and black, now house of kolor white with subtle candy glitter as applied by Karnage (paint alone was worth $1500). Looks great in direct sunlight without being wanky or over the top. Micron slip on, Michelin pilot power pures with acres of life left in them, K'n'N filter, aftermarket rear light, screen, front indicators, frame sliders and rear spools. Braided lines and some awesome front pads that pull the bike up on a dime. Has just over 39,000 on the clock with 6 months rego, always serviced, etc, etc, etc. Has been geared up a few teeth on the rear with a new sprocket and chain around a year ago, would have been lucky to cover 3000kms since then.
As a starter sportsbike you cant get much better. Super reliable, chuckable and different enough to the other Fireblades to not look like a drone.
Looking for $7500, will have pics up shortly.
