They are pretty awesome. Lots of shit fucks out on them, most of its easy to diagnose, not that difficult to repair and the parts are getting cheaper so there's money to be made on them
Palmed one off onto my mechanic a few months back, glad I did. Near full day job. Start at the number plate and work your way back.
Took about 2-3 hours. Cant remove the condenser bolts that attach to the radiator unless bumper comes off. So what causes the thermos not to switch on? Test seems to bridge connections at the radiator fan switch but fans did not turn on, we only noticed relay clicks when bridging the high speed part of the thermo connector? Nothing on low speed.
