CA18DET GH Sigma Drift/ multipurpose track car

    Hi
My name is Harry and this is my GH sigma
Was given to me, so i decided to shorten the struts and lock the diff and slide it
I took it to a winton drift day once then was like need more power
    Mods so far:
Shorted struts 100mm with st165 celica front shocks with cut heavy wreckers springs
    shortened steering knuckles 17mm
    hydraulic handbrake
    Fixed back bucket seat
    4 point harness
    14" dished steering wheel
160kW @ 14psi Ca18det, t25g turbo, xforce split dump pipe, FMIC, exedy hd cushioned button clutch
    VL 3 core radiator
    Nistune
    Bosch 044
    Surge tank
    Mods to be done:
    finish r31 diff conversion
    boost guage
    Half cage
    Oil cooler
Possibly a bigger turbo (2871r) on a high mount manifold
    External gate
    Ca18de cams
    And more

This is what it looks like

    Its pretty low

This is how i started out power plant wise then added a 34/34 weber was planning to take it to winton again but bought the ca18 and got excited and started doing the conversion

CA18DET Mounted, running, drove it twice with the sigma diff and was like WHOA!!! BTW I wired it all myself (surprisingly easy)

    mounts were easy as

Fuel setup has to be in a sealed compartment

R31 tailshaft modded center bearing mount

Interior, just waiting for a passanger seat to be returned to me

looks like a cheap fun toy dude, nice one.
.... because every driver experiences the destructive potential of the effortless surge of power available through the smallest of body movements.

i love cars that are built from what ever was laying around. kudo's for getting out there and having a go on what seems a minimal budget.

wish racing had the same build freedoms as drifting.

that engine mount looks a bit iffy though - maybe add some gussets to it?

I like this. Makes me miss my old GH.
If you want a wider front track look for some later model control arms.
    Hows this thing slide?

So i just remembered about this thread. long time no update.
Diff was finished long ago now, still uses standard length r31 manual wagon tailshaft.
Been to 3 drift events and 1 motorkhana/khanacross now.
Put it on a dyno a while back it made 150rw/kW @ 14psi.
Not too much has changed apart from adding
CAMS spec half cage and a pair of fixed back seats
    Alloy fan shroud, catch can

hit a wall about 3 months ago bent a few steering components and bent the lh rear 1/4 but thats what happens in drifting so meh

this is what let me down last weekend

this was at a skidpan about an hour from Wagga

Good work Harry, you sure the turbo is a T25G? I thought it had Wazza's old GT25 on it the same as the turbo I had.
