Stay with my bosch 948 or go a new 044 and risk buying a fake.

Should a go a 044 or will my 948 do the job. After about 400hp atfw

How much power will a bosch 948 hold?

948 = Bosch 128lph@500kpa. Fark knows what that means hp wise.
    Mmmmmmmmm beer.

4 * 1000cc/min = 240 L/h =/= 128L/h so def won't max the injectors at rated pressure differential on the kind of boost a 4G should be making at that flow if you want that potential.

realistically you will probably only need something like 60% duty on those injectors for your target power?? It would be very marginal, not worth the risk IMO.

go the 044, or possibly a 910 as a common alternative in between them.

do you need an inline pump? or can you use an intank? as aeromotive have just released a 340lph intank pump. cheap and awesome.

Is running twice the required fuel flow through the engine bay & across the pump (and the associated electrical load) not as retired as "fuel heating" rail mounts and running bright coloured full hektic 10mm plug leads with a factory ignition system without gapped plugs??

    Just saying.

EDIT: It's rated flow of 340lph is at 3 bar guage, doesn't flow as much as an 044 at 5.5 bar, probably a decent choice then. Shame there aren't any decent standards on quoting efi pump performance/capacity.

E85 will suck more juice. yes still overkill, but 10x better than a noisy 044.

There was a thread a ways back that made it clear how hard a fake pump is to pick. i'll just go an 044 and over kill it. Just no info on flow to roundabout hp figures i could find. thanks

Ps have to stick with an external due to tank design.

IMO E85 = 044 at the minimum on any boosted app. Overkill is good in fuel systems

    Definately (a genuine) 044.

    I'm running a similar set up, 2litre 4 with 1000cc injectors & ~450flywheel hp on E-flex. I run a single 044 & Carter Gold lift pump through -6 lines.

Just go through a reputable US parts retailer.

044 = 4L per min... if you have 1000cc injectors or bigger you will need 2 pumps...
