I'm In. I got my Xr6t for "next to nothing" and the mods owe me about $550
When are we racing?

To quote old mate:
Hi,
This is the introduction to the 13s for $1300 Challenge. (street registered)
This is a DIY challenge put out to car modifiers from all around the world, ( USA , UK, AUS, NZ, ect) and is open to any Make or type of car that car initially be purchased for around the $1300 mark in the open second hand market in running registered condition., a quick look on ebay will see what a car usually sells for. ( you can already own the car , but its value on the second hand car market must honestly be around the $1300 mark if it was sold tomorrow, not $2000) No smashed cars or broken cars allowed as justification to why they only cost around $1300
The Street Registered Performance Challenge is similar to previous $1300 challenges but is only a PERFORMANCE challenge. ( the $1300 is NOT part of the purchase of the vehicle, its maintenance, rego or insurance fees..)
The idea is to try keep the car registered and drivable whilst spending a maximum of $1300 on performance parts ( service parts such as gaskets, bearings, engine mounts, any type of st tyre ( no slicks), nitro Gas, fuel , oil, plugs are not part of the $1300)
Any "performance" part already fitted to a vehicle by you or previous owners is subtracted from the $1300 by its reasonable second hand price.
Due to this being a street Registered challenge some mods such as open exhaust and mini spools ( constant locked diffs) are not allowed as it makes the cars unsafe and unusable on the street.
Power Adders are allowed ( nitro, supercharge and turbo)
Dyno tuning or any work carried out by a professional workshop is charged at full labor rates ( this is a owner DIY challenge)
Crazy Engine conversions that are highly illegal ( eg: BB chev into toyota celica) are not allowed, This is a street registered challenge and the permanent mods have to reflect that aspect.
Paint , Bodykits, service parts std shock absorbers and springs ,Windows, suspension bushes, rubbers and everything needed to bring a car to roadworthy condition or maintain it are not part of the $1300. this is a performance only challenge.
Performance parts such as 90/10 shocks, rip shift shifters, shift kits, extractors and performance aftermarket mufflers are deducted from the tally. ( Std issue parts that are intended for your car that are not aftermarket or of the cars hi performance variant exclude the $1300)
Parts such as Holley carbs are included in the tally but the std rebuild gasket kit ( not the performance rebuild kit) are not included in the $1300 as its a service item
another example: Removal of a cylinder head to owner port is not a included item, the head gasket ( vrs kit ) is not included as these are service parts, Fitting H/D valve springs, Oversize valves, machining of the surfaces or any performance parts fitted to the head will be included and deduct from the total.
2nd hand performance parts are allowed but must not be tallied at a unreasonable low price
The idea here is to have fun with the car but keep it safe and hopefully it will have a life after the challenge.
these are the rules that i will be using in my challenge.
purchased this 94 XG ute of ebay for around $1300, i then painted and restored it using service parts, it has no performance parts fitted. yet!
This guy is a pecker head. The point of a challenge is for it to be a challenge.
"I noticed a lot of people said they bought their car for $100, which kind of made the whole exercise of having to buy the car pointless. I think the main thing is that cars should have to be able to be bought for next to nothing".
The fuck?

When he was blubbering on about street registered and usable on the street daily, I thought he was crying about some cars using nitrous....I was wrong

I think he's going to be disappointed.
Fucking hard parking cunts
But then you can just say that you bought it for $1300 and that does not contribute to the $1300 for mods. And paint, suspension, brakes, rebuild kits also don't contribute... Someone buy the bloke a $3.50 trophy stat, he clearly needs it.
I'm going to buy a rusty Datto Bluebird for $100. I'll spend $10k on panel and paint, $5k on suspension and brakes, $5k rebuilding the motor. I'll get some 13" drag slicks for the standard wheels at $600. New hose clamps, hoses, clutch etc etc throughout the whole car for another $2000. I'll buy an complete CA18 for $500 with T25G, ebay cooler and piping for $150. I have a Bosch 903 pump, surge tank, brackets and injectors in the shed from a previous project, say $100. I have a Perfect Power ECU in the shed, another $100. I have 2.5" exhaust and various bends in the shed, another $250 with dump and it's in the car.
Yay, my $23,800 car only cost me $1,100.
Fuck it shits me when cunts call nitrous "nitro"
i originally bought my torana for $300,and i bout a fucked ls1 vt ss for $800. his flacon doesnt stand a chance lol
What a dick. I wonder how many dislikes we can get for his video clip?
