    RB30 Deathbird.

Initially bought this $500 thing because I was planning a 13's for 1300 beastie. Then I saw the front wheel drive requirement so I decided to be a girl and turn it into a track beast.

At the moment its just a stripped out TRX with a race seat and a S2 RB30 and 5 speed. Picking up the turbo and 4.11 diff this weekend. Later on I'll be strapping a 25 into it or possibly a 25/30 crossbreed.

Skid pics to come after the required trailing arm re-welding due to it being a bluebird.

Current plans are some straightening out of panels, turbo, 4.11 LS or spool depending on if I go for grip or slider.

Also going to fit the group C kit and paint her white with the nissan decals.

    I call dibs on buying this off you when you;
    A) get sick of it and sell
    B) blow the head, get sick of it and sell

Also, please buy/take all the s13 and rb25 bits from my house plz.

Well it has full R31 front suspension including the towers so S13 shit will bolt in.

I thought you were sick of datsuns and cars in general? :P

I am, which kinda explains the S13 drift pig that's turning up to my house on Saturday which I'm putting a high comp t28 blown ca18 into.

It's almost like I hate myself.

I have an rb25 there and an rb30 bottom end. Buy it off me for $500 and with a headgasket and a drill bit you've got your 25/30. If I'm feeling bored and can be arsed setting my manometer up I'll give the head a tickle for you as well.

Good deal!! (seriously please do it, I'm sick of looking at this shit)

How much is fuck all? Have a cheap standard vlt setup lined up but cheaper is better.

And luke what S13 shit do you have? Dunno if I want to go 25/30 just yet, I think I want it complete and going before I pull the 30 out.

Liam, between Stu and I we've parted half a dozen s13's in the past few months. You name it and I probably have it.

But it has the sticker on the boot which works the same as chev badges on a commodore.

Turns out a rodeo has similar cabin dimensions to a bluebird.

Getting rid of that deadening at the bottom and modding that base plate and she'll fit like a charm. Front loop is slightly shorter and will fit very nicely once I chop the end off that nugget dash.

Also why did nobody tell me how fucking queer these things look?

Looks like cool cheap fun. Will be watching with interest.

so, you can basically bolt an R31 front end into a Bluebird?

s13 coilovers, knuckles, LCA and r31 tie and castor rods are all bolt up bar the strut top but you can just get a camber plate laser cut to suit instead which is the path I went with my old one. Looks like this thing is already sorted out though. I miss mine Replace though mini shocks on the rear trailing arms with s13 rose jointed traction rods too to help a bit with the axel tramp and pinion angle if you run into trouble with the tailshaft doing weird shit.

R31 Front Swaybar and Vented front discs / calipers both also bolt in swaps

RB30 R31 front sway bars are perfect for SR20 conversions....I love early Nissan interchangeabilty

Not quite. Most of a silvia front end or most of an R31 front end bolts in. The struts are the right length etc but you need to weld up and redrill the strut towers or get different strut tops.

The bluebird castor arms bolt up to the R31 control arms, the swaybar bolts in.

The front frame is the right width and the rear mounts are in the right spot, front mount you need to drill a hole for the mounting bolts and fit some crush tubes.

The bluebird tailshaft length is spot on, the VL/R31 Yoke even fits on the bluebird uni.

I was aiming for good, dirty fun when I bought it but my brother is offering me a free 9 inch and 4 link as well as alcon brakes. Shit could get complicated fast.

EDIT: Looks like people responded while I was being a slow cunt :P

    Like a glove.

$50 ebay style cooler from a mate. Tossing up between 25/30 or VLT setup at the moment.

Its going to sit up higher so that the base of the cooler is flush with the base of the apron. Can't imagine it would last long that low.

Decision made, trading the statesman which was taking up space for a VL turbo powered VK berlina with an R33 5 speed in it.

Almost seems a shame to wreck it to do up a dirty old datsun.

    Almost.

I've been building brackets, mounts and bumper bars all day. Now the front doesn't wobble like a fat bitches arse and I have somewhere to mount that new fangled home made front bar.

Found out I have a crooked rail so I bought this nugget to celebrate. I have to go kill myself for owning a vl turbo now.
