That Firebird is already sold anyway fellas but thanks for all the suggestions!

DeVille is cool but isn't going to fit my driveway/garage. I'm liking that Firebird I posted but needs to be much less money as in around I reckon it's maybe 18/19k car tops. I'm also getting quite partial to the look of nicely done Mercury Cougars again (which is kind of where this all started)

So.....not imported by me as per original thread question but very much on the radar........

$23'900 ONO - 67 Pontiac Le Mans GTO Clone

$22'000 - 65 Le Mans (interior is nice but not as nice as the one above)

$25k ONO - 71 Chevy Nova (has one small dent on front guard which I can't see in pics but apart from that it's resto'd)

Going to drive the first Le Mans and the Nova and see what sort of "ONO" they are looking at.

And there is also this for $22k but it will take up my whole garage and be a cunt to live with in terms of getting it in and out of the garage/driveway etc plus leave no room for my bike anywhere but at 22k it's priced really well and cool as all fuck.

Yeh dudes with Le Mans asking Impala prices in some cases as I am finding dudes with an Old Yank car think they are all worth the same as the really popular stuff like Impala's, Chevelle's etc when what they have is nice no doubt but not as mainstream as some others.

And if it's been there a while should make him keen to do a deal! To be honest I kinda like the Nova for half cruise/half toughness.

    Poncho FTW.

IS that '65 in Melbourne? If so, a mate's mate checked it out and reckons it was a complete shitbox.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe, and from this side only! The flight of a half-man, half-bird. Dinosaurs nuzzling their young in pastures where strip-malls should be. Cookies on dowels. All those moments lost in time; gone like eggs off a hooker's stomach. Time to die.

Yeh well there is that....plus industrial bins don't have a yard/grass. Have sent Nova guy some questions, where are you, time for a look etc. He also mentioned an oil pan leak which if just a gasket gives me room to negotiate more without it being that hard to fix (I hear Dave is good with sump leaks if I need some help)

Also trying to get in touch with Le Mans guy for a look.

I bet there is a thread on every aussie yank car forum with a pic of you and pages and pages of people bitching about this cunt serial-tyrekicker wasting their time and lowballing them.

Doubt it given I have done lots of looking online, not bothering people.

If you cunts have $20k kicking around you can blow on a car without asking lots of questions or looking at lots of examples then good on you. I want to know everything about what I am about to drop $20+k on as I will have to live with it and the pain of my wife breaking my balls constantly if it turns out to be shithouse.

Heaven forbid I should come on to Performance Forums and ask people about information on cars that they may know and I want to know!
