MOTO GP - stoner wins his first Jerez GP

belated news - must be no Moto Gp love on PF at moment.

stoner qualified 5th , sat out morning warmup to save tyres .

had rain before race - but sufciently dry to call a dry race -was damp patches (oooh err) in places
stoner went from 5th and worked his way up to first over about 10 laps- won by about 2 secs from lorenzo .

    pedreosa 2nd

    rossi something like 9th .

ten /one had mick doohan as guest commentator - cerainly livened up the normal mindless chatter you normally get.

was saying that rossi just has given up and has no confidence in the bike - whereas nicky haden still giving 100% effort - and maybe ducati ma start to set up around hayden...

stoner still second in champianship behind lorenzo

I liked how Casey maintained that .5 - .9 sec gap then decided to clear out for the last two. You'reGay's front tyre was very blistered at the end apparently.

The podium girls were mind blowing.

Cracker of a race. Thought Jorge was going to get him in the end with the tyres going off but the 2nd last lap he just fucked off.

    Grid girls ftw.

Great to see Stoner win, thought Lorenzo might have reined him in towards the end but he managed to grab a big enough gap to hold him off.

Hayden was giving it a red hot go at the start of the race. Good to see, dunno whats going on with Rossi.

Was an awesome race, Stoner controlled it from the front. Lorenzo never really got within striking distance. Good to see Crutchlow come 4th, miles ahead of Spies who was something like 11th? If Spies doesn't lift his game I can see him and Crutchlow swapping rides next year (Spies to Tech 3 and Crutchlow on the factory Yamaha). Ducati's were shit again. Hayden had pace early and looked like he might challenge for the podium but it turned to shit and he ended up coming 9th I think with Rossi in 10th. Bradl did far better than I expected again, beating several factory bikes home.

I thought this angle rather interesting:
If you dig a hole and it is in the wrong place, digging it deeper isn't going to help.

his time will come.As for Rossi I think he will be ever effected about killing his good friend last year.

was good to see crutchlow finish a race in a decent position - instead of chucking it into the scenery trying too hard - don't know whats happened to spies.
This is a post i wrote by mistake, which is nice...

Definitely and something that has not really been talked about. I can see how this would affect his approach to riding massively.
Yes the duke might not the the most user friendly machine out there but Nicky is really giving 100%.

Rossi's confidence must be shot to pieces. Tis a real shame and I would hate these past performances stain an epic career.

Stoner was great on the Honda. Definitely a huge talent but not the most friendly racer in the paddock.

It was a good race, Stoner was looking a bit shaky there for a lap or three, but pulled a bit of a gap when it mattered.

Also Moto3 was a crash fest!
