    E85/E-Flex on a stockish SR20DET

I have decided to give my old S14 a birthday and get it running right again.
I am interested in tuning it on E85/E-Flex and was wondering if the fuel system requires any modification

    Current Specs are:
    stock unopened motor
Nismo 555cc injectors (can do 640cc at 4 bar)
    Z32 AFM
    PFC
    Greedy FMIC
    Full exhaust
Garret GT28R (the dual ball bearing version)
BOSCH 044 in tank pump (suspect faulty)
best power figure when running right 207.8rwkx at 1 bar

    What I an thinking is:
New fuel pump, have new walbro sitting here (will this be enough)
Factory ECU modified with Nistune type 4 board

Do any of the rubber fuel line require changing for E85?
Will the injectors be ok at 555c or should I get an adjustable reg and run them at 4 bar (640cc)
    Is it worth the effort?

I can find one servo in Newcastle that has E-flex, and there's probably 10 in sydney.

    Also
Bio E-Flex is specially formulated to meet your flex fuel car's requirements all year round. Different seasons can change the way fuel performs in your engine, so Caltex will adjust the blend of ethanol from 70 to 85% between seasons to ensure your engine performs correctly.

There is E-Flex at Hamilton and Charlestown servos. You would get bigger gains changing the cams than going E85.

may just give the E85 a miss then if there is little benefit on a stock engine.
found out one of the reasons it is running like crap, stock BOV leaking big time

i disagree with this comment. would be true if running a gt35, but not for such a small turbo. also e85 will give power everywhere but cams will not

Also when you say gt28 are you talking about the 450hp laggy pos or the bb version of an s15 turbo.

Not necessarily GT35 big, stock cams were holding up my engine with TD06SL2 (8cm). new engine is making power MUCh more efficiently. You are correct though. I guess I was talking dollar for dollar. Won't be long before the 550's become the bottle neck in the system when running E85.

It's a garrett equivalent to the S15BB, a GT2560R (466541-4 version with inconel turbine wheel and high-nickle "Ni-Resist" exhaust housing)

Surely I would have enough fuel with an adjustable FPR? Also I read once on the interwebs (must be true) that I would have better fuel atomisation if I ran them at 4 bar fuel pressure.

Yeah a td06l2 defiantly needs cams. Its a great choice for the sr imo. But for the op's set up cams will help a little, but nothing like your set up. E85 would be a much better option. Especially because its a vtc engine and he is running such a small turbo. The most reliable option is to go e85, big cams/stiff springs seem to kill these gears quick smart.

Yeah you will. But I wouldn't say they injectors are more than enough......Even at 4 bar you will be pushing it. Might just be ok for 14psi. But they will be very close to maxing out might not even get 14psi out of them. Basically your injectors will be the limiting factor.

Well I will be removing the inlet manifold soon to replace the gaskets, so would have access to the injectors then.
What size injector would you suggest?

would go a set of 850cc sards for the sake of simplicity. Should be able to get a new set for under $550ish

You should be able to sell your 555cc for around the same as they are nismo's? Surely some 50 cent wannabe will be like nismo injectors bro NISMO thats gangster, I'll be hip hoping jap brand stylez.

If you want to upgrade turbo's n crap later convert to top fed and and go and ID1000-2000
