Just to throw it out there:

Ditch the wheezer V8 and turbo a SOHC falcon 4 litre. There is some dude in NSW making an adaptor from the E-series auto bell housing to C4 which should cut down significantly on the biggest cost item of the conversion which is usually the Torque-Power brand bellhousing (about $1k on its own).

here's the logic: the six fits, XR6t upgrade parts are common (pistons/rods/girdle), they are proven to make power, they rev higher than a V8, you will pay less to machine and build it, GT35r's are everywhere, there's more room for manifolds/piping.

thats the sensible option (unfortunately) but a straight 6 in a mustang is just wrong.

351w dart block stroked to 400+ and make the pipes fit with stubborness and a pocket full of cash for the RRS kit.

302 dart block stroked to 347 and a 250shot of giggle had a friends cortina running real deep in the 9's

Or just make a turbo fit*

*may involve plasma cutting and lots of swear words.

I have actually considered the option of a turbo 6, but can't get past the fact that it won't sound like a bent 8.

    or one of these

    cruising for chicks indeed...

Just like the original version, the Moto Horn produces its incredibly loud, guttural growl without any batteries or electronics. A simple internal cog system is all it takes to get your motor hummin’. It’s just like being a kid again, only this time there’s no need to chew freshly picked scabs or argue over who’s got the widest cowhorns.

Whether you’re cruising for chicks on your Grifter, Knievel-ing it up on your Chopper or going to work on your state of the art mountain bike, this brilliant gizmo will increase your cool factor tenfold. Slip on a biker’s jacket and fellow road users will be unable to distinguish you from the Fonz. Probably. Oh, to be ten again. VROOM, VROOM!
