In the States I'm pretty sure you can get a column-shift conversion kit for the 5-speed Tremecs, so it wouldn't be impossible. Would have to be a fucking tight span between throws, though!

T56 would likely mean chopping the transtunnel too. They are big.

Should fit. Will be very snug - there's a lot going on on the driver's side of the engine bay. Make some space by moving the starter to the LHS. Al will be all over that shit.
Shifter mechanism on passenger side for TH400 - adds another degree of difficulty for column shift. I suppose you just use a cable mechanism.

Also use a pedalbox, booster & masters from a van. They will all sit in behind the dash.
