Ok. Your struts fell out. HTH

PS you should just give the engine bay paint a touch up while it is apart

talk to jez about my prep skills, I will just keep adding high fill until its smooth, which works until you touch the paint and it chips.

Got the engine mounts made yesterday with a lot of help from "Kawasaki Robot" Face.

The engine is biased to the left by 30mm due to booster/coilpack clearance.

    Mandatory turbo mockup shot.

General information wise, the crank triggering is 36 -1 -1 on the crank and 1-3-4-2 on the cam. The cam position sensors are 4 even lobes on each.

worth mentioning that the dog tried to eat the welding sparks and final installation of the engine was actually done by Gus while we stood around drinking beer and sending random commands to kawasaki robot.

    Small update.

I got the gearbox adaptor plate made last week and bolted the box in on the weekend. It's a bit far over for a happy tailshaft so I had to remount the engine further towards the middle and get a different booster to allow space for that. The good news is the TH400 bolted directly to the factory gearbox mount and crossmember. Dumb luck.

    Adaptor plate.

Got some VT hub adaptors and bolted them up with VT rotors and callipers.

Just picked up the exhaust flange plates and inlet manifold flange plates so will make a start on them soon.

Decided to ditch the factory water pump and use a DC EWP instead so I can position the throttle body in the centre of the valley. The factory water pump has a hydraulic pump built into it as well so would have required surgery to remove that anyway. I am using a BA DBW throttle and pedal.

Better off to buy it untouched and not pay him 20 cents in the dollar for already completed shed labour.

    Haven't made an offer yet.
Got to line up TT for low-ball training.

Next visit will bring sophisticated beer brands. Y'know, Powers gold, Tooheys Flag, Resches Pilsener etc. Know a bloke who has some old KB stashed away just maturing, might be able to get a couple of Quarts off him.
