    Recommend me a torque wrench...

    So the torque wrench I have, is the same one I've used for 20yrs (and from what I recall, the original purchase decision may have been guided by the fact that it was cheap).

    Anyhoo, I am starting to wonder about its accuracy, so can anyone suggest a good one? I don't mind if its a bit spendy, if it's really good quality and is something that will serve me well for another 20yrs.

    I think the Repco ones are rebranded Norbar.

    I have a W&B one, as well as a pair of deflecting needle ones, and a cheapy kinchrome for wheel nuts at the track.

    Ooh...Norbar one look very naice.

    I do like Bill's one tho, for the sheer "it will never stuff up"-ness of it. Bill, what working range does that have?

    Norbar, Snapon or W&B is all we (RAAF) use.

    Probably most important to get them calibrated regularly, we have Norbar machines, I'd say most retailers should have access to one.

    Used a 3/4 inch drive norbar for work, 410nm all day every day, calibration every 12 months was pretty much bang on.
    A++ would use again.

    Ta Bill. I am tempted to get this one: http://www.justtools.com.au/prod457.htm

    No, not (just...) because it's on sale but because I reckon for anything over 140ft-lbs, I have to use a huge pipe as a breaker bar anyway

    And there's a lot of things on Datto L-series which are 10-20 ft-lbs, like oil pump and manifold bolts.
